Great price After the bodega next door caught on fire at 3 a.m., my apartment was filled with smoke and soot. I’d never experienced a fire like this. I had no idea where to begin. Someone suggested I call Cesar at ServPro. They said he’d be willing to answer any questions I had about next steps and would coordinate directly with my insurance. He picked up on the first ring. During our conversation, Cesar gave me his personal phone number and said I could call or text with any questions I had in the coming days. He was clear and professional while also being incredibly empathetic to how overwhelming this must be. It was stunning to be met with so much compassion and patience as I tried to understand when I could return home, what items would be deemed unsalvageable, how long it would take for the surfaces to be cleaned and the air to be safe to breathe, etc. When my insurance heard who I was in contact with, they, too, were enthusiastic. “ServPro is great!” In the end ServPro was kind, diligent, speedy, and thorough at every step. I cannot recommend Cesar, Diego, Kristen, and the entire team enough. There’s no one better to guide you through the aftermath of a fire. There were so many issues with this company that there’s too many to name. 1. Set up a million fans in the basement to dry it out that it tripped the breaker. Basement wasn’t drying out for 3 days resulting in my bathroom remaining wet and them having to then tear out the entire bathroom. A cost the insurance company wouldn’t have had to incur if the basement would have dried properly. This is not to mention that all the food in my deep freezer was also destroyed. 2. Threw away fixtures and things I asked them to keep. Then spoke with the supervisor/manager/owner (James) and was told these things should be covered by insurance. I don’t care! If I ask for certain things to be kept, that’s what I mean. 3. Insurance company called me stating serve pro was charging for parking fees because they couldn’t park on my street. This was a lie because not only could they have found a park maybe a few houses down, there is no place to pay for parking! So where did they go pay for parking?! They need to tell me so I can park my car there during alternate street parking. 4. Most companies would have placed your furniture on blocks so it can dry out. These jokers let the furniture sit in the standing water to be further destroyed and take on more water. 5. Several of our books were wet. They decided to put both things I planned to keep and things that were garbage plastic bags and leave it all in the basement. When it was time to take the books out of the bags, of course they would be mildewed. Instead of them laying the books out to dry, what genius would think to put them in plastic bags. Then James says I told them to keep these things, but 90% of the crew didn’t speak English so how does he know that?! Which wasn’t what really happed of course. 6. And please be careful of the plumber they recommend. When my contractor began working on my house, of course the plumber didn’t fix everything that caused the water damage. 7. They said they were going to clean my carpet. That never happened. The only thing I can say is, these people are supposed to bring you a sense of relief. Instead, I find myself even more angry as the problems keep piling up. I could go on, but what’s the use. They’ll still be out and about doing damage to unknowing and unsuspecting people. It just so happens that I’m the daughter of a contractor and kind of know my stuff. Be careful with who you trust and what they tell you. Services Flood restoration

From my first phone encounter with Kristen, who was professional and reassuring, just when I needed that after my basement was flooded with waste water, to meeting Cesar Chai, the Project Manager, also professional, cordial and reassuring, as well as clear about each step of the way, answering my questions with great patience even when I asked the same thing a couple of times, to the four workers under Cesar's supervision (also professional, careful with my belongings, hardworking and congenial) who spent a full day cleaning out my basement, removing ruined stuff, then disinfecting and drying the whole area, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. Reasonable price This team of Peter and Ronnie was incredible. They were thorough, efficient and meticulous in their approach explaining every detail of what they needed to do and what they did. They arrived on time were extremely neat and cleaned up everything at the end of the day. I had a complicated custom set of cabinets that they tried to preserve for me. Ronnie led the day team under Peter’s direction and they made a great combo. I couldn’t have asked for better service. They get an A+. Throughout the restoration process, the office staff and technicians were consistently responsive and provided updates in an effective and timely manner. The technicians dispatched to manage the clean up of sewage water in our basement were absolutely fabulous. Very professional, courteous, organized, and exercised extreme caution while taking out the saturated items from the house.
