I recently had a warranty issue with my Navien tankless water heater, which was installed less than a year ago. I called up Expert Mechanical Services and was charged $300 for them to come verify that the issue was indeed a manufacturing defect. Then on top of that they are receiving the insurance claim from Navien to replace the unit and want to charge an additional $1000 for an elbow they claim I need and an outlet. Their labor is $135 an hour, the secretary told me Navien only covers 2 hours and they needed 3. So that means they are charging 865 for an elbow and an outlet. When I questioned the secretary she stated that there was paperwork and they had to pick up the new unit and take the old one. Now I have friends who are contractors and they don’t try to pass of the cost of picking up studs or screws to the customer. Plus they are already getting reimbursed by Navien so at this point it’s just greed and the way to do business.

Mr. Williams, Thank you for taking the time in leaving us a review. We take our customers satisfaction seriously and would like to address your concerns regarding your recent experience with your Navien repair issue. We spent the time going through your system to diagnose the problem with the boiler, we were not the company that installed your heating system. There were many different repairs that needed to be made, not just an “elbow and an outlet”. Some of the repairs that were needed weren’t directly related to your Navien unit. Then in the office, we spend time processing paperwork for the warranty. Yes, you called us as a Factory Authorized Sears Provider, we did not install your system. We charged you, exactly what we quoted you over the phone, $230.00 for labor plus tax for a total of $249.84 not $300.00. We had to go through your poorly installed system (you should be complaining about that company, unless you installed this yourself.) We were not getting reimbursed any labor. There is no insurance claim from Navien to replace the unit, we have been a Navien provider for over 15 years and I have never been reimbursed for warranty repairs or replacements. Besides the fact that you had numerous install defects; 1. Intake and exhaust was not installed properly. 2. An extension cord used to power up equipment. 3. Flexible gas line needed to be bonded. To charge $1,000 to replace your defective Navien unit, handle and return the old unit and repair the illegal and unsafe conditions was extremely reasonable.

Steve the owner, refused to park in the spot I recommended. Drove away without doing the inspection as rerequired.Subsequently, cancelled 4 times before completing the inspection over a month later. Steve showed me a lack of professionali sm ,consideration or responsibility. Dealing with him was a true nightmare. Go elsewhere! Negative Professionalism

The heat exchanger on my navien boiler cracked last summer and i needed it replaced, we hired this company to do the install of the new boiler . They made a claim for us through the manufacturer and got us the new unit free and installed it . They were the only company willing to not charge us for the price of the unit , all the other plumbers we called said we would have to pay out of pocket and then after the claim went through if they would reimburse us , but expert mechanical purchased the unit for us . Very pleased wit the work and the install they did . Just recently the boiler got an error code and I called at 930 pm on Friday night . The owner called me back that night ...The next day they came and fixed the boiler, no charge . Really great service very impressed with the company also very friendly

One the drivers was driving recklessly and swerving in and out of lanes last minute almost hitting me and my fiancé, then when we went around him he screamed outside the driver window and he then proceeded to tail gate us. Not sure about the services they provide, ive never used them.
