New I live in Smithtown, where we basically had smoke damage throughout the house, without a fire, caused by a puff back. The entire house, basement to attic, was covered in soot. Duell and his team did a tremendous job of cleaning it all up and helping us throughout the entire process until we were made whole. Great price Highly recommended! We called for a 2 story. Commercial flood for a pipe break in our facility in Merrick. Within 45 minutes there was a box truck with 6 workers and hundreds of pieces of equipment. They got right to work and extracted all of the water and spoke with all of my tenants. They began packing out the offices the same day. Hopefully we never have to call them because that means we are in trouble. But if you’re reading this review don’t waste time and call them to get your situation under control!

On July 22nd, approximately 85 gallons of water flooded my bathroom and my 1/2 finished 1/2 unfinished basement after a failure involving my Safe Step walk-in bathtub. Unfortunately, the first mitigation company did an inadequate job, and while I waited for the insurance issues to be sorted out, a terrible odor developed and aggressive mold and mildew began growing in the subfloors. I was also experiencing additional health problems. That is when I contacted Duell, who came highly recommended—and I cannot say enough about what he and his crew did for me. Duell and his team took control of a very difficult situation. They properly addressed the mold, removed damaged tile flooring, the bathroom vanity, walls around the area where the flooding originated, and additional affected materials throughout the house. Their containment work was excellent. They used high-quality enclosures and zippered plastic door systems that protected the rest of my home from dust and contaminants without damaging my walls or paint. They were professional, meticulous, clean, kind, and genuinely empathetic throughout the entire process. Duell also worked directly with my homeowners insurance company and personally walked through the property with the insurance adjuster during the inspection. What impressed me most, however, was the way I was treated as a person—not simply as another insurance claim. I am disabled, and this flood took away my entire accessible bathroom. During the mitigation, the toilet developed a crack and began leaking. Within just a few hours, Duell had a plumber at my home and arranged for a new accessible toilet to be installed. I did not have to beg, repeatedly call, or even ask him to understand why this mattered. He simply recognized the problem and took care of it. Unless you have experienced losing the one bathroom that allows you to function independently with a disability, it is difficult to explain what that kind of consideration means. Duell and his entire crew treated my home with respect. They cleaned up after themselves, communicated with me, handled the mitigation professionally, and showed compassion during an incredibly stressful situation. My only problem now is finding the equivalent of Duell and his crew to rebuild everything they had to remove! I would recommend Duell and his mitigation team without hesitation. They turned an overwhelming situation into something manageable, and I will always be grateful for the professionalism, quality of their work, and—most importantly—the kindness they showed me. This May of 2026 I had a leak from my boiler that caused water to accumulate in one of my bedrooms. Total Restoration Industries and Joey, the Project Manager came quickly to install fans and humidifiers to dry out the room. They carefully removed the entire wood floor to prevent mold. Joey, from TRI made this disaster so stress-free by his professionalism and is only matched by his caring nature and the expertise of his entire crew. Total Restoration is a company that is exceptional in every phase of their mitigation work. Joey was also instrumental in negotiating with my insurance adjuster and made sure that I was completely satisfied with the outcome. Duell, the project manager, was very thorough in assessing the damage to my kitchen, and his personable assistant, Casey, dispatched his remediation team immediately. The remediation team boxed up all of my belongings neatly and set up the necessary fans and dehumidifiers to dry out the area to prepare for a contractor to replace my floors. Great price This is in regards to a water situation I had in my upstairs bathroom. I want to express my sincere gratitude for how TRI has handled this, from my first phone call made to Roberto, to when the guys wrapped up. While "professional" is the first word that comes to mind, it doesn't do justice. Polite, responsive, transparent, accommodating, and respectful are amongst other applicable terms. For something that I knew was going to inconvenience us, Roberto prepared me during Friday's walk through for what to expect, so I could then prepare my wife, with a plan that was minimally impactful to the daily life of a family with two working parents and twin 5-year old boys. That plan even changed for the better when the guys showed up to work and became even less impactful: we still had use of the kitchen and bathroom! Many thanks to you and your guys for how this played out. While I hope I don't need to call you again (no offense), I for sure will recommend TRI to anyone who find themselves in a situation needing your services.
