New Reasonable price | $200–400 We were told to expect someone between 4:00-7:00. Bill came around 4:30, diagnosed the problem within about 5 minutes, and was done in half an hour or so. He was very personable, exchanging stories with my wife and I, and also my niece and nephew when they came over. We greatly appreciated everything he did for us. He did some basic diagnostics and then got the line cleared with a minimum of hassle and effort. New Great price | $400–600 We called this morning to have our kitchen sink repaired. The estimate was only $50 (1/3 the cost of others in the area) and the plumber was available same day. They gave us an appointment window and he called to verify when he was 15 minutes away. The gentleman who showed was honest, personable, respectful of our home, and skilled. He got to work right away, and was honest about some future work that should be done and what we could do ourselves. The job was completed after about an hour and a half. There was no mess left behind, and everything was working perfectly. I'm not used to professionals being extremely fair especially with pricing these days, and this business really shocked me. So if you'd like to be treated like a human being and not a wallet, and for someone to treat your home like their own, I highly recommend this business! Had a good experience with Rooter-Man. The day of the historic rain/flooding this summer I woke up to find that my sump line was partially clogged and water was backing up next to my house. Called at 10 am and agreed to an after-hours appointment at 4 pm. The office made sure to mention the increased fees for after-hours work multiple times. Bill came right at 4 and walked me through pricing and let me know he may or may not be able to clear the line based on how my drain was set up. After an hour of digging up part of the line and snaking it Bill was able to clear all the roots and get it draining again. Price was not cheap (between the work and the after-hours appointment it was over $700) but I don't think it's egregiously more than other plumbers. Recommended.

Reasonable price | $400–500 We had a phenomenal experience with our technician. Bill prepared us for what to expect, was clear with pricing and worked quickly. Having people come into the home can be a vulnerable experience, but Bill made everyone feel comfortable; kiddo, pets and adults alike. He was exceptionally friendly and professional. I have been a home inspector for 20 + Yrs. I have heard many stories over the years from agents and homeowners about bad service and terrible experiences from contractors; but this is very disappointing! My water heater failed early this morning (Tuesday). Upon talking to customer service for Rooter man (just before 8am this morning) , I was assured they would be able to install a new water heater today. I asked if they could guarantee this. I was told "Yes". I asked if there would be 2 people to safely replace new heater and remove old heater. I was told "yes". At approx 11:15 am, an older plumber from the company arrived by himself and informed me that he could not get to it until next Monday! I wasted half a day waiting for this response. I have a family, we need to take showers! I was promised today! Now the day is half over, and the chances of hiring another contractor to get the job done today is less likely. Plus I took the day off work because they guaranteed same day service/install. Totally unacceptable!

Overpriced | $500–600 DO NOT CALL THEM....They are Extremely Way Overpriced ..Had my kitchen sink drain clogged ...They Charge 50 bucks to come look at it .which is stupid cuz ..thats why you call them to unclog a drain ..Duhhhh....then charge you 450 bucks for 1st hour ...it only took the guy Half an hour.....The biggest Rip Off Company. A day later my sink got clogged again ..so they didnt do anything ..paid 500 bucks for nothing...had to plunge it to get it working again... Services Drain cleaning

She scheduled a tech to come to my home an hour later ( 4pm - 7pm window ) Bill got there 4:20 and cleared a main drain clog and was done within an hour...... We called on a Thursday afternoon to have our sewer line cleaned out. We have a home warranty and after a diagnosis, we would call the warranty company and they would give rooterman the diagnosis and price for the repair. We would pay it and get reimbursed by the warranty company. Tammy at rooterman was reluctant to send someone but scheduled us for noon to three for the next day. The next morning Tammy called us and said they were busy and would only send someone if we agreed to have the repair done regardless of whether the warranty company covered it or now. Then she changed the time to 2 to 5. I said ," so you're saying between noon and 5 and you will only come if we agree to have the work done after the estimate regardless. We are going to cancel because we dont feel you want our business and we will find another business that will help us"

Hired Tim from Rooter Man to perform a non-emergency repair of my bathtub drain. He did an excellent job and was very transparent about what was needed for the repair. He even offered suggestions about what parts I could purchase myself to save some money. I'll definitely use Rooter Man in the future if I have more plumbing needs.

Reasonable price Last night was a virtual meltdown at our house. During laundry the pipes started overflowing in our basement. It was 6:00 pm so I went online and the only one that said open till 7 was Rooter Man. I called and Tammy was great handling my obvious panic and had Romero here in about 15 minutes. He pulled so much roots out of the outside drain it was shocking. He completed the job while dealing with darkness and a nest of ground bees uncovered. My husband was with him throughout and he said he couldn’t believe how hard Romero worked for us. We give the highest recommendation to Rooter Man. Website says Albany County is in service area. It also says Glenmont. I called for an appointment/estimate/service and was told that albany rooter man / albany septic services does not do any work in my town or my zip code. I live 10 minutes and 12 miles away from downtown Albany And in albany county and also much closer than round lake and many other towns listed in the service area.
