New My pump grinder suddenly failed and started leaking. Called the service at 7 pm and Collin came right away and fixed it for us. He’s very professional and clean. Five star service!

Edit: I've updated my review to 4 starts as Colin has reached out to make things right which I really appreciate I'm disappointed I have to write this review because Colin was very friendly and quick to reply on the phone but I'm hoping this doesn't happen to anyone else. I called Grinder Pump Experts after several alarms were going off on my e-one pump. I ended up paying $315 for them to come look it over and was told the pump was very worn down and drawing more amps than it should. The alarm continued to go off several days later and Colin told us that we would need to have our lawn excavated to reach a check value because that was the likely issue, this would cost over $4000. Instead I called Siewert Equipment in Albany who came out and also found the pump rotor was worn down completely, the engine was flooded, and that's why it was no longer working. Had the pump replaced and the tank suctioned. They found dirt and ground up gravel bits at the bottom of the tank which is what caused the pump to fail over time. No issues with the discharge line. If you have an e-one pump I would recommend going right to Siewert Equipment. After everything that happened I let Colin know we had the pump replaced and his reply was just a quote for a new pump, which didn't really make any sense because I had told him it was already replaced.

I’ve been dealing with Collen the owner for over five years now he serviced my Grinder Pump two times and overcharged me both times and I paid. This time you wanted to replace the whole Grinder and charge me 3999. I refused his labor left with the Grinder out of the tank with fumes filling the house with kids I went to Siewert Equipment in Albany and they gave me a whole new Grinder for $2700. No thank you Collen I will save some of my family’s money. I will never use them again.

I would say that Robert’s experience is a Grinder Pump Experts success story! Let’s look at the timeline. 09/26/2017 Robert’s pump had failed and I dispatched same day. Cause of failure: wipes and grease. A new pump was installed. 10/30/2023 Robert’s pump had failed, and I dispatched same day. Cause of failure: wipes, feminine products, grease, and plastic bags. Robert’s pump was repaired on site the same day. 08/29/2025 Robert’s pump had failed, and I dispatched same day. Cause of failure: wipes, feminine products, and grease. I was again able to repair the pump on site, the same day. 06/08/2026 Robert called on Sunday at 11:43AM. Our after-hours tech arrived at 1:05PM. Cause of failure: Mechanical seal failure leading to catastrophic motor failure due to continued binding of rotating elements by wipes and feminine products. Robert was unwilling to pay for a replacement pump, which was ready to go on the technician’s service vehicle, or our Sunday emergency labor, which obviously comes at a premium. Unfortunately due to this, we had to part ways. Grinder Pump Experts has the resources and knowledge to repeatedly bring a broken pump back to life on a tight timeline, and if a new pump is required, we have them in stock and ready to go. All of this, even on a Sunday!

After a close call with a very full sump pump pit during some heavy rain and melt off i decided to upgrade my sump pump system. Based on previous reviews I reached out to Grinder Pump Experts. Colin from Grinder Pump Experts saved the day. My sump pump was not draining the water from the washing machine. Instead I found a pond of water on the basement floor. My plumber recommended Colin and when I called he said he could be there that same morning! He saw the problem (my old sump pump was fried) and he had a new pump installed within an hour at a reasonable price. I am impressed with his attention to detail, communication skills and responsiveness. I would not hesitate to call on him again if the need arises and I do not hestitate in recommending him to others.

Found our basement flooding on Friday night, called several other companies that would not come out. We called Grinder Pump Experts and less than 20 minutes later Colin was out fixing our problem. Extremely knowledgeable and professional, he replaced our sump pump and within 1 hour from our call he had completed the work. He talked us through every step of what he was doing.
