We were referred to Rainbow for mold remediation by our real estate agent. We are prepping to sell our house. Rainbow came and did a walkthrough. We later received an estimate for remediation and prevention (gable vents, etc). We asked for a new estimate with only remediation on July 7. They sent it July 9. I replied same day saying we wanted to move forward. July 13 I still hadn’t heard back. I still haven’t heard directly from them. Apparently, they contacted my agent to say we need to get an assessor in and the soonest they can do is July 27. I understand the need for an assessor, and if you’re booked to the end of the month, I get it. But where is the communication? I am selling my house. We are scheduling a photographer, cleaners, an AirBnB for a week, and timing a big move. Please just respond regarding steps and scheduling.

Hi Doug, Thank you for your feedback. Selling a home involves a lot of coordination and communication. Adding to the stress is something that we never want to do! The 27th (our next available) was held for you the on 10th after being notified you wanted to schedule. I apologize this was not communicated with you. We were actively working on what was needed by NYS law to complete the remediation. The communication was with your realtor because they are well versed in the law. This usually streamlines the process. A NYS Licensed Mold Assessor has to approve our scope of work prior to remediation commencing. This was noted in two different areas on your estimate because of the importance. Correcting the environment is the most important piece of the process. By removing the ventilation, it's not truly remediation and most likely not approved or cleared by an assessor. Mold will grow back and this could pose a challenge in your sale. Can give me a call @ 518-490-2279? I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. Your feedback helps us improve and is appreciated! Lauriel
