Reasonable price | $200–400 I realize that some people in our community think that Martin’s is pricey, but I’ve been using them for nearly thirty years, and have always found their products and service to be worth every penny. One of their service technicians was at my house this morning, to deal with my somewhat complicated (at least to me!) water system. He called twenty minutes before the appointment to ask questions about the problem, and therefore knew exactly what he’d be dealing with before he arrived. Therefore, he had the replacement part with him, and was able to fix my problem in a relatively short time, making sure that everything was working properly before he left. Very polite, very professional, and just seemed like an all around nice guy! I would strongly recommend Martin’s to anyone. Services Plumbing pipe repair, Service not listed

$400–600 I was a little hesitant to call these guys after reading some of the negative comments. But Bill (I didn't get his last name) came out and highly impressed me. The Positives: My boiler was heating the house even with the thermostats turned off, and I had some water running out of the pressure relief outlet. Bill stopped by on the same day that I called the office. He said a motor and one of the values that control the hot water flow to my radiators needed to be replaced, and now the radiators no longer heat when the thermostats are turned off. He tried to figure out why the pressure relief valve popped and leaked water, but he couldn't pinpoint the issue exactly based on what he could see on the outside of my boiler. He had a couple ideas, but he couldn't be sure without tearing things apart. He gave me very clear descriptions of what to keep an eye on to try to diagnose the pressure relief system. In my (unprofessional) opinion, Bill respected my time and money. He didn't try to push some expensive repair on me or anything. And throughout the entire visit he was extremely descriptive and instructive on what he was going to do and what things meant. I really appreciate it when professionals try to walk you through these things, and it comes across as very honest in my opinion. The pressure relief hasn't leaked again, and the pressure in the system has remained at the proper pressure, so again I think he made the right call. If I need more work then I will be asking for Bill. The Negatives: The Martin Plumbing and Heating office made it very clear from the beginning that they were going to charge me based on when Bill left to come to my house until he returned to the office, and I at least appreciate that clarity. And overall the total bill for how long he was here and how much work he performed felt a little bit high. Bill was here for about 3 hours maximum, diagnosed the problem, replaced a motor, and replaced a value, and in total it was $565. However, if that's the cost required to work with someone who is honest, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain things to you, then I would pay it again. Services Heating system repair

Reasonable price | $200–400 These guys came out a couple times to help with issues I was having with my water heater and boiler. They arrived both times within a couple hours of calling, were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, walked me through everything they were doing, and went above and beyond to help me out. They're definitely going to be my go-to for plumbing and heating issues going forward. Services Water heater repair

They got paid a lot of money to redo the plumbing of my grandmothers house and to replace the furnace and two days of using the toilet and the drainage system is leaking on the brand new furnace and the furnace isn’t even connected to the living room. They need to get experienced workers that know what they are doing. Or at least not half ass things goes to show how little they care about their clients just in it for what money they can get Services Heating system repair, Plumbing pipe repair, Water heater repair

Overpriced | $500–600 The receptionist is probably the rudest lady I have ever spoken to on the phone she was also extremely rude to my husband. They came out twice we paid them a bunch of money and they fixed nothing, so we call and every time it’s “okay someone will be out” someone finally comes at 4pm and fixes nothing. Don’t waste your time or money, go to ANC HEATING. Unprofessional and have zero care for customer satisfaction they just want your money.

Reasonable price | $1,000+ I had the pleasure of working with Martin Plumbing to repair a gas leak coming from the lines leading to my cooktop. The leak was discovered when NYSEG came to swap out my old gas meter for the new smart meter. Once NYSEG discovered the leak, they red tagged my meter, put a pin in it, and shut off my gas. I called Martin Plumbing (spoke to Paul) on a Thursday afternoon and they were able to get me scheduled for Friday morning. Martin Plumbing sent Mason and Dylan over in the morning to assess the needed repairs. The leak was below the floor of my kitchen. Unfortunately, the person who installed the original gas line for the cooktop did not make it accessible above the floor. (Shame on them) After gathering the parts they needed, Mason and Dylan replaced the entire gas line to the cooktop and added shut off valves in 2 places where they would be easily accessible. In addition, they contacted NYSEG to come and turn the gas back on. They knew we were in a time crunch since NYSEG stops working at 3:30pm. They made it all happen with the help of Bill and Noreen from NYSEG. The whole job took about 4.5 hours to complete. Thank you to Paul for getting me on the schedule. HUGE Thank You's to Mason and Dylan for their kindness, patience, professionalism, job knowledge, and willingness to go into the crawl space under my kitchen! They were the best!!!!! We have been doing business with Martin's for over 15 years. We have bought parts for our older furnace - if they dont have it in stock, they call me as soon as it comes in, had gas lines installed for a fireplace, main sewer lines cleared out of tree roots. They always have provided great service and advice. I always appreciate the work they have done in the past, and we will continue to use them in the future.

We called for service on our old furnace that stopped working. The servicing gentleman came out within minutes. He had all the parts we needed and fixed multiple issues in one quick visit. It was incredible and we highly recommend this team!

We lost water this past Saturday. We are on a well. They called us back first thing Monday morning and we’re here by 11:30. They were FANTASTIC!! Found the issues, one was very tricky and they fixed both issues and were finished by about 2. They cleaned up after themselves, were knowledgeable, efficient and we could not be more pleased! We would highly recommend.

The plumber shows up two hours later than scheduled! Shows up with no tools and was all over the place on what was going on with the hot water heater. Took the money did not fix anything and would not return any of my calls! Gave false information about my claim to the warranty company witch made me lose my claim! But made sure he took my cash though! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone!!!!!!

Had problem with backup and made the mistake of calling Martins and they asked if i agreed to them to come look. I expected 1 licensed plumber. Instead 4 kids showed up and all piled into our house and started milling about. They said the toilet needed pulling, in order to snake it. So they pulled off the toilet and didnt bother draining water in toilet first and told us cleanup was our problem? they said there would be no charges? So a week later we got a bill for $165. I spoke to receptionist if i could speak to manager. Was told he'd call me back. Never did. If i could give neg. 5 stars i would. Worst local company ive dealt with yet. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. THEY ARE LOUSY! Services Service not listed

Glen Martin and the other gentlemen were so helpful. They are problem solvers, we could not be more happy. When we called to pay our invoice, however, the receptionist was rude. Surprising considering how helpful and nice everyone else we spoke to was. (I will add we paid in full just two days after receiving it in the mail.) We would highly recommend Martins for all you heating repair needs. Managment should speak to the receptionist regarding customer service skills.
