Overpriced | $700–800 BEWARE. SCAM. The guy scammed my dad out of $750 cash. During the recent snow storm, my dad's boiler stopped working. My dad called JR's plumbing and heating because he had a relatively good review reading and he was close by. The guy picked up the phone and said he's away on vacation and he's going to send one of his other guys to handle the job. The job took 5 days after my dad told him to leave and he's going to call someone else. The guy he sent over continuously needed some cash to go to the store to pick up parts. After my dad got fed up after 5 days of no heat in the house he called a different guy who was able to come and fix the heat. The new guy came and handled the job and only a few hours and he mentioned that he couldn't use any of the parts that JR's plumbing and heating brought because they were for completely different system and the guy must not have known what he was doing. As of now my dad is out $750 cash. We took a ride to the location where the map indicates his business is and nothing is there. The other tenants in the building indicated that he moved out a few months ago and they haven't seen him ever since and heard multiple other customers complaining about him. Must be why he decided to move out of this location. I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB and Suffolk County licensing bureau regarding him. Services Plumbing pipe repair, Service not listed

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I called and spoke with Frank, he said he will come to my place and to text my address. I texted and no reply, hours later I called and he said he never got my text and to text again.. which I did and still no reply. I tried calling to see what is going on and I was sent to voicemail. I had my roommate call and they left a message, no reply. Again this morning I called and straight to voicemail and no reply to another text. Services Plumbing pipe repair

Not reliable. He came with his son and installed a toilet. That went fine, no issues. Prior to appt, i requested he also fix a broken gasket and sent pics of it. The day of install, he didn’t have time. I was frustrated but scheduled an appt the following week. Unfortunately i had to reschedule due to coming down with the flu. It’s been almost 2 months and I’ve tried to reschedule, repeatedly, but continually get blown off. He says that he can do it this Saturday and on Friday when I am trying to firm up a time, I either get ignored or he says his son will call. I never get that call. On the hunt for a new plumber.

I discovered on a weekend a leak in a hot water pipe. I called them and they promptly answered the phone. They came as soon as they finished a nearby job - within 2 hours. They replaced the pipe in short order. They were great!

My high efficiency gas boiler stopped working this morning (Saturday march 25). I called JR plumbing and heating (I spoke to Frank. He was very nice and understanding) after contacting 5 different boiler services, but most of them were not able to come until Monday. JR plumbing sent Lance within an hour, he was exceptional. Mr. Frank from Jr plumbing installed a new steam boiler at my house couple of months ago, he said I wont have any issue for next 10 years, and It didnt work for next 10 hours. I called him back he came back and took all the warranty papers( which he didn’t returned yet) from me and said he dont know how to fix it and gonna bring someone else, a week later he came back with someone else and added some more pipes and blamed it on my old boiler( which doest make sense at all). And there was huge bagging sound from boiler after that, I called frank and he said he cant do anything. A week later it broke down completely and the temperature inside my house was 45 degrees, I called, texted frank somany times and he didn’t respond at all. I had to get another plumber($75) he came and said its electric issue. I called electrician($634) and he said the issue was wires were not properly connected to the boiler and Installers didn’t put a breaker switch also a small transformer was changed within the boiler. I am writing a review J&R plumbing. I called the owner Jay on very short notice on a Friday for a clogged bathroom sink. He was already out working a big job and was an unable to come over to fix it but he took the time to talk me through several measures to try to fix it myself which eventually succeeded. What other plumber would do that?! He even called to follow up. I would highly recommend him to anybody needing plumbing services.
