I was extremely impressed with Gold Star Plumbing from start to finish. Everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, and professional. The work area was extremely clean, and there was never any sense of being rushed. They were patient, took the time to explain everything, and gave me two options for the repair so I could make an informed decision. River T., the technician, was outstanding. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and informative, and I felt completely comfortable trusting his recommendations and workmanship. I would highly recommend Gold Star Plumbing. It’s refreshing to find a plumbing company that genuinely cares about its customers and takes pride in doing the job right!

I have a 2-year-old Pioneer Mini-Split which has been functioning fine yet a few days ago I noticed a few drops of water dripping. Gold Star sent a technician the next day. James and his partner checked out the system and found that it was cooling fine. Also, they checked the drip pan and that was draining well. James said that it may have been auto on heat but on a low setting. The $179 charge for the visit would be taken off if I had Gold Star service the unit. I wanted a maintenance cleaning done to start the season. Unfortunately, I could not afford the great "low pricing" of $876 for a cleaning nor the other option of $4400 to change a hose, that was on recall. The unit was purchased brand new for $3900, common sense dictated that I just pay the $194 ($179 + tax) for the visit and that check was cashed "immediately". I am very grateful for YouTube and did a full cleaning for the very fair price of $49.95, kit available on Amazon. I'm sure the company will claim that they will serve customers who appreciate excellence or something along those lines, however, I would only hire and trust excellence so for the same reason I'm not buying 2 eggs for $12.00 at a diner, I'm not going to pay this company's rent.

Once a year I wanted my boiler to be cleaned and without fail every time they come to clean the boiler they tell me it does not need to be cleaned and that I need a new part every year it’s been costing me over $1000. they always find something wrong four years ago was the last time we had service. The maintenance guy told me I needed a new pump for my gas boiler plus a $1000 tank we purchased the tank told him I’ll take my chances with the pump. The boiler runs fine for four years and as far as cleaning it, I went on YouTube and learned how to clean it myself. It’s a shame ever since Jose left The service is not the same very sad. I guarantee if you call them for boiler service they will find something wrong at least that’s what happened to me. I’m done with it now. I’m wondering if I ever really needed the $1000 tank who knows I learned my lesson.

We had Gold Star come out because our 6-year-old boiler suddenly stopped producing hot water. The system has been regularly serviced over the years, so we expected a straightforward diagnosis and repair. Instead, we were told we needed to spend over $1,000 to replace a sensor they believed was failing, with the alternative being $3,000+ for other potential long-term solutions. For a boiler that’s only six years old and has been maintained, this was already frustrating. What happened next was even worse. Just five days after their visit, our boiler started leaking. Gold Star has already been here before to deal with a leak a year or so back, and it’s leaking again. We still don’t have hot water, and now we’re being told the entire system may need to be replaced. Instead of fixing our original issue, we’ve ended up with an even bigger problem than when we started. We’ve spent time and money without a resolution, and our boiler is now in worse condition than before they worked on it. Based on our experience, I can’t recommend Gold Star. We called them to repair a lack of hot water, and after even though they came to look, we still do not have hot water, have a leaking boiler, and we now need to replace a relatively new system. That’s simply unacceptable.

Overpriced | $1,200–1,400 Years of terrible service that I’m glad to finally be rid of. Installed a boiler in 2020 and has been giving us nothing but problems. Then when a technician came to service the broken unit he commented at what a poor job it was and said “oh yeah everyone was cutting corners back then”. As if you weren’t the morons who installed the thing in the first place! The owner does not care about the customer and hires incompetent technicians. If there was a 0/5 star I would give it to them. We had a large leak in the kitchen sink trap which made us not able to use the sink. We called gold star on a Friday and since it wasn’t an emergency we had them come Monday. They arrived promptly for the early part of their 12-2 window. RIVER, quickly figured out the issue and had the problem fixed in an hour. Tech was very nice and professional. 10/10.
