Reasonable price | $600–800 I am an aide for my elderly neighbor who is also living alone with dementia. She had an extreme drainage issue that left her plumbing all backed up. I called 2 plumbers that she had used on the past both were unable to come. This was an emergency she was unable to use her toilet and I could not leave her with that. I have used Gilman plumbing several times and love them. Called about 3:00 pm and was told we are sorry we don’t have any techs available. 2secs later called back we will have someone there in an hour!! Amazing!!! Matt came and worked so hard even crawling under the house in a very tight spot, had to leave and get stronger equipment, pulled the toilet and then worked away. He was able to clear all drains!! He saved the day!!! All I can say is amazing job he never gave up!! Thank you Matt and all at Gilman Plumbing!!! Services Drain cleaning

Reasonable price | $200–400 Contacted Gilman Plumbing on Angie's List since we just returned to our home after an absence of three months to find the kitchen sink was backing up due to a clogged pipe. They contacted me almost immediately after my inquiry and set up an appointment for a visit just a few short hours later. Matt arrived, assessed the problem and began to snake the pipe in question. Within an hour he had gotten us back up and running. We were very pleased with their prompt, friendly and expert service. Recommend them for your plumbing needs! Services Drain cleaning

Dan was a lifesaver today! He relieved our concerns of a potential major problem when a leaking bathroom sink valve spilled half an inch of water over the floor! He made himself available to come to the house on short notice and quickly identified an issue with the shutoff valve, which he replaced along with the supply hose. He worked quickly and effectively. Couldn't be happier with the communications, diligence, and service quality! Highly recommend Gilman Plumbing.

After purchasing a new washing machine and having it installed my wife and I found two issues that needed resolution. First the hot and cold shut off was broken and while water would flow there was no way to turn the water off which concerned me. Also the drain pipe was old, galvanized pipe and not an adequate size and could not handle the output of the rinsewater from the new washing machine. In both instances I contacted Gilman Plumbing and they were able to stop over the same day and replace the shut-off valves quickly and efficiently. They then checked the drain line and was able to quote me a price to replace the line which was agreeable and very fair. Upon attempting to replace the line they found that due to the age of the house and some interesting foundation challenges it was going to be very difficult to Simply replace the line as it required one of their crew to climb into a very small crawl space area to perform the replacement of the drain line. While challenging all this was accomplished successfully with barely no change to the original price quoted even though this was all unknown at the time of the quote. I truly credit Gilman Plumbing for their efficiency and for the quality of their work and will continue to use them in the future. Great price We had a sewer line clog that needed to be taken care of quickly, and Brian and the team at Gilman Plumbing were outstanding from start to finish. They were able to fit us into their schedule much sooner than we expected, arrived promptly, and had the problem cleared without any issues. One thing I wasn't sure about at first was whether they would service us since we're in East Rochester and they're based out of Hilton. That turned out to be a complete non-issue. They didn't hesitate to make the trip, and the level of service we received made it well worth calling them. If you're outside their immediate area, don't let that stop you from reaching out. What really stood out was their professionalism and honesty. Before any work began, Brian explained exactly what needed to be done and provided a clear, upfront price. There were no surprises, no hidden fees, and absolutely no pressure to purchase services we didn't need. It was refreshing to work with a company that values transparency and treats its customers with respect. The pricing was entirely reasonable, the workmanship was excellent, and everyone we interacted with was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. It's not always easy to find contractors you can trust completely, but Gilman Plumbing earned our confidence. We genuinely feel like we've finally found our plumber, and they'll be the first call we make for any plumbing needs for years to come. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brian and his team to anyone looking for an honest, trustworthy plumbing company. Services Sewer cleaning, Sewer repair

Reasonable price | $400–600 Huge shout-out to Gilman Plumbing! After a terrible experience with a previous handyman, this company came to the rescue. They responded immediately and were at my house the very next day. They completely redid the faulty water spigot repairs and fixed two leaking shut-off valves that had been left behind. Fast, professional, and excellent quality work. If you want the job done right the first time, call them! Services Plumbing leak repair

Great price | $2,000+ Came recommended from my local mom’s Facebook group. Replaced a tankless water heater for a very fair price. I got a quote from another company that was obscene, so I posted in that’s moms group looking for what others had paid and who they used. Gilman’s price was right in line with the best numbers other moms gave me, and when Dan came out he initially tried to talk me OUT of replacing the unit. That was refreshing! He did come over to the dark side when he say that the original venting wasn’t done correctly, so the unit had been burning a portion of exhaust air instead of fresh, but I was already prepared to replace. Super pleased with this company and will continue to use them. Services Water heater installation

Great price | $2,000+ Gilman Plumbing was fantastic. I had a major plumbing issue affecting my water quality and pressure that required excavation and replacement of an old galvanized steel pipe. After receiving some outrageous quotes and refusals from companies, I was relieved to find Gilman. Brian was professional, helpful, and great to work with, and the whole team did an excellent job. Shoutout to RG&E as well for helping troubleshoot some issues during the project. My water pressure is now amazing, the price was reasonable, and I would absolutely hire Gilman Plumbing again. We had emergency electrical repairs that required adjustments to our sump pump and the connecting pipes, and Gilman Plumbing was great despite some chaos and confusion on our end. Matt moved the pipes for us, and was quick, kind, and super helpful. He warned us we would probably need to replace the pump soon, and he was right, because 2 days later it failed. With electrical work happening on the panel above the drain we needed help ASAP. Matt came back that day, replaced the pump, and adjusted a few more pipes to add a bit more space and safety for any nearby electrical work. It's been stressful trying to coordinate all of the services we need, and it's an old house with a lot of DIY work, but Matt was patient and did exactly what we asked for. Now we don't have to worry about our electricians being electrocuted or our sump failing, and we know exactly who to call for any future plumbing needs. Definitely recommend!
