Reasonable price | $200–300 So glad I hired Blue Jay Plumbing to take care of a clogged toilet drain. Had called several places and found that the some plumbers who advertise this service don’t actually do this service so I was really happy to find out that Blue Jay was fully ready to handle the job. Since this wasn’t an emergency situation, we were able to wait a few days for them to fit us into their already very busy schedule. The young man who arrived, went straight to work taking care of the problem, which required removal of the toilet and reseating after the clog was cleared. He was knowledgeable, professional, efficient, polite and personable. Garrett Installed a Furnace and New Smart thermostat for me last year when my heat went down in February and it was sub Zero outside with a Pregnant Wife. He worked quickly to install it and was very professional. He converted my new gas dryer last year as well and was just as quick and professional with that. Lastly he installed a vented wall unit in my garage this winter and had me up and running with heat in no time. Garrett has been so awesome while dealing with a tankless water heater issue (came with the house). With many trips to our house to troubleshoot, Garrett had a positive attitude and he was communicative. As a stressed homeowner, contractor vibes can make or break a relationship. Single mom here with 2 kids and a broken water heater during the winter!!! Mr. Jay initially scheduled me for a week out but ensured he would try to fit me in sooner ...AND HE CAME WITHIN 3 DAYS!!! I was very impressed by the knowledge and expertise of Mr. Jay. He arrived within the time frame and called me prior to arrival. He demonstrated professional behavior throughout his entire work. He was polite, pleasant and answered in details all the question I posed to him. He was meticulous in ensuring all the pieces were connected and sealed appropriately. At the end of his work, he made sure to collect all the throw away pieces and that the place was clean. I highly recommend him and it was indeed a pleasure having him do the job. Garrett Jay is hands down the most reliable, courteous, professional and prompt gentleman you could possibly hope for. My late father utilized his services, and he has done work on my home both before I acquired it and since I moved in. He has saved the day, every time, with AC issues, furnace problems and plumbing dysfunctions. Most recently, my MIL needed a secondary heat source installed in her wood stove heated farm house, with time being of the essence. Thanks to Garretts extensive knowledge of all things heating and his passion for serving his community as promptly as possible, he beautifully installed propane heating in her home right before Christmas. Thanks to Garrett, my MIL was able to travel to NC in time to be by her sister's side before she passed on. He has always gone above and beyond for his community, and I cannot speak enough of his professionalism, prompt service, and ability to relay to his customers exactly what the problem is and how he is going to repair/install it. You would be hard pressed to find another owner operated company that loves his community and always brings his A game to everyone I know who uses his services (and there are many!) This man is the one you want to call if you ever have any heating/cooling/plumbing issues. He'll get the job done, often times even stopping by after the job is done just to make sure everything is running smoothly like he did for my MIL. His prices are fair, and he's also just a really nice guy. You're a gem Garrett, thank you for serving our community with dedication and love!

In my experience, this business lacks customer service and accountability of their work. I am having issues 6 months after replacing my hot water tank, pressure tank, water pump, and piping ($5k of debt all together- Blue Jay was paid very promptly after their installation). I have asked this business to come out take a look at/fix their work with zero response. A second opinion confirmed my issues are an installation issue and quoted me another $800-1,000 to fix it. Beware ladies: he will not return my phone calls or emails and prefers to only talk to my husband. Do not recommend if you have a manufactured home- they were quite rude about the space being too tight and my home being a "trailer" (it is not mobile). I am left with a lot of debt as a new, first time home owner and loudly tell people in this community not to use this plumber.

Garrett and his team have done several recent plumbing jobs for me, including replacing my hot water heater when it failed. In each instance, Garrett and his team were prompt and professional, showed up when scheduled, did great work, left the place tidy, and came in at or a bit below their estimate. In addition, Garrett is an excellent communicator, returning calls and texts and discussing in detail the work that needs to be done and how it will be accomplished. Garrett and his staff did more work for me last November 2023 and this month. They always do an excellent job. They are skilled, professional, knowledgeable and really nice people!
