New Great price I can't say enough good things about Matt. S and Apex Sewer & Drain. I own a rental property that had strange ground conditions outside at the curb of the property. For years I could not figure out what the problem was, I called the town and they sent their inspectors who told me there was no issue at all. Matt was here for 30 minutes, told me what he thought the problem was (a buried second water shutoff) and that he suspected there had long ago been another structure on the property. With a few hand tools he was quickly able to confirm his theory, and actually found the disconnected old service line that was actively leaking. Not only that, he showed up to the scheduled appointment a few minutes early. He gave me clear instructions on what to do next and how to handle the situation with the municipality and then offered to come back out if I needed any assistance cutting and capping the old line. It's so rare to find professional customer-service oriented businesses and technicians these days and working with Matt and Apex was truly a breath of fresh air. As a side note, I'd be remiss as a real estate broker to not advise potential homeowners looking to purchase a property to have the sewer line scoped before closing. I hired this company to inspect my sewer lateral with a camera and provide an estimate for the necessary repairs. I paid Matt for the camera inspection, and I was told that I would receive an estimate. After the inspection, however, the company decided that the project was too large for its current crew and declined to take the job. I understand that every business owner has the right to decide which projects they can handle. What I do not understand—and what left me extremely disappointed—is being told afterward that I would not receive the estimate for the camera footage that I paid for. As a customer, I should be able to obtain estimates, review the findings, and decide which contractor I want to hire. Now I may have to pay another company to perform the same camera inspection all over again. The contractor appeared knowledgeable and clearly knew his trade, so this review is not questioning his expertise. My issue is with the way the situation was handled and the failure to provide what I was told I would receive after paying for the service. I expected better communication, transparency, and customer service.

Overpriced | $200–400 A NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE: Last Thursday I hired Apex Plumbing to remove a small plastic bottle that had accidentally been flushed down my toilet. They were unable to come that evening, so they sent a technician the following day while I was working out of town. A friend let Jared into my home. When I returned home four hours later, I discovered that my bathroom had flooded. Dirty water had spread into my hallway, down the stairs, and into the kitchen ceiling below. The toilet had been scratched, the handle was broken, the bathtub caulk had been damaged, my shower curtain and bathroom contents had been soaked, and the toilet still would not flush properly without manually operating the tank. When I turned on the kitchen ceiling light, water came out of the light fixture, so I immediately shut off the breaker. I contacted Apex that evening and again Saturday and spoke with the owners, Jim + Holly. They sent another technician to clean up what he could, but the damage clearly required professional water mitigation, not just surface cleaning. After he left, my licensed plumber nephew inspected the toilet and found it was leaking and he repaired it. By Monday, my carpet was still wet and I still had no clear plan from Apex. To prevent further damage, I hired an independent restoration company. Their inspection found active moisture in my kitchen ceiling, and they immediately began mitigation with industrial dehumidifiers. The damaged carpet was removed, the area was sanitized, and part of my kitchen ceiling had to be opened because it remained wet. When I informed Apex and requested their liability insurance information, I was told they had planned to "get a guy over there tomorrow or something" for restoration and carpet cleaning. By that point, several days had already passed, my carpet remained soaked, and I had already taken steps to prevent further damage because I had not received a timely plan or follow-up or insurance info. What disappoints me most is not that a mistake happened—mistakes can happen in any business and we are human. It's the lack of communication, urgency, accountability, and follow-through afterward. As a fellow small business owner, I believe how you respond when something goes wrong says everything. I simply cannot imagine going into someone's home, destroying it, and not saying a word. This situation has delayed preparing my home for sale and has required countless hours coordinating insurance, restoration, and repairs for damage that occurred during what should have been a routine plumbing visit. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Apex Plumbing. I hope no one else ever has to deal with this. Services Plumbing pipe repair

Reasonable price | $400–600 I had a main line back up in my house. I spent the whole previous day with a power snake trying to unclog it from several different locations to no avail. Then I poured a gallon of main line cleaner and let it sit overnight with fingers crossed. The next day it was still clogged and I was defeated. I called Apex first thing in the morning and they sent out Andre shortly after. What a friendly and positive man! He put me at ease when I felt helpless. The problem was quickly diagnosed and he was transparent with my options and cost of service. Ten minutes later everything was fixed. No more clogged line. You are paying for their knowledge, ability, and equipment. Andre achieved what I failed to do. Never fun to pay for a home repair but it was worth it. I called with a main line issue. Apex came , made and left mess in bathroom, damaging door. They did Clean-out mainline with power snake. Issue re-occurred couple days later, and they came back under warranty, (N0-charge 2nd visit)and re-snake the line. Line remained clear for few days and then clog occurred once again. They came third time (charging me for another visit) re-snaked mainline and remained clear 2-3 days. Each visit, I was asking what is the cause, the technician was essentially uncertain but assured me was ok, at conclusion of each visit. No camera placed in line to diagnose. (They Said they didn't have with them- and if did have/use, would be several hundred dollar extra charge). When issue re-occurred for fourth time within 10 days, I finally wised-up and contacted another plumbing firm, who came out that same day, diagnosed issue (used camera) and cleared blockage that same day and performed needed repair the following day, digging and replacing trap in line. In nutshell, if all you need is snake job, Apex is capable to do this However, when I needed correct issue diagnosis and repair, they were of no help. Actually, They compounded the problem and home damage from excessive main line backup by not diagnosing and correcting issue. When I attempted to contact company, their response was "crickets'. Very disappointing !
