When questioned about the remaining length of pipe discussed with the representative, the technician stated the work order only covered that single section. - Company Response: I immediately contacted Roto-Rooter to address the severe discrepancy between the promised scope of work and the actual labor provided. In subsequent communications, management maintained that the signed contract was only for a "trap" replacement and refused to properly adjust the bill, offering only a $500 refund on a $3,700 invoice.

Overpriced 🛑 WARNING: ABSOLUTE RIP-OFF AND TOTAL INCOMPETENCE! Avoid Roto-Rooter!I called Roto-Rooter for a minor issue—a leaking cartridge on a shower handle. It turned into an absolute nightmare that flooded my home and almost cost me thousands.Two technicians arrived, one of whom spoke absolutely no English, making communication impossible. They started "fiddling" with the shower handle. They made the leak 10 times worse to the point where water completely overwhelmed my shower stall capacity and flooded my bathroom floor. Once they realized they severely damaged my plumbing, they tried to extort me. They quoted me an astronomical $2,000+ to fix the issue they just aggravated. When I told them absolutely not and asked them to at least shut off the main water valve since they were flooding my house, they refused and walked out, leaving me with an active indoor waterfall.I immediately called a local plumber recommended by a friend. He arrived, turned off the water, and had the entire job finished in 45 minutes. The total cost? $400—and he explicitly noted it was only that high because my shower used an older, more expensive cartridge model, otherwise it would have been $350.Roto-Rooter tried to markup a simple 45-minute repair by over 500% while actively damaging my property and abandoning the job site in an emergency. They are predatory, incompetent, and lack basic human decency. Save your home and your wallet—hire a licensed, local independent plumber instead
