Joey arrived quickly and immediately knew the problem needed to replace a hose, pump and provide some routine cleaning maintenance to the system that I was not aware I should be doing. What a waste of time Want to charge $170 for a simple estimate I found a nother company who right away came to my house gave me a good price for free This company want it me to pay $170 and they were goin to bill me right at the spot for the job Is like singing a contract in blank and then you just get a big bill on top

Vindictive, diabolical. Service contract in place for years. Bought a NEST thermostat, called them to install. They don’t install those without electrician, so installed Honeywell they had in truck. Charged $600 for installing a basic, no frills, thermostat. It was Fall going into Winter. Just found out 2 weeks ago they deliberately neglected to connect to central AC unit, only hooked up to heater. After that outrageous charge (anytime I call them it’s always $600) I refused to continue paying these thieves for annual maintenance service and looked for another company to service HVAC needs. When I realized they did not hook up new thermostat to central AC, I repeatedly tried calling for them to fix their neglect. They refused to take my call and put me on Do Not Service list when my phone # came up. After trying several times someone answered and said “I just wanted to see what you were calling about, you’re on a don’t service list because you dropped your service contract”. Darn right I did. Asked for a manager who never bothered to call back. Fast forward to new HVAC company, who said Master completely reversed wiring for AC and heating. STAY AWAY from this unethical, greedy business. I will be contacting BBB.

Update less than 3 years later, system is malfunctioning and Rinnai is saying the install is done wrong and will not provide warranty coverage until issue is fixed. Do not trust Masters to install properly. Make sure you have a video walkthrough after install with Rinnai support to verify install. They’re also really cheap and didn’t install the $200 pre-fab isolation valves making it easier to flush the system. Master's is really good; Tom is the best. Usually when i've hired companies to do a big job, after they get paid they'll say goodbye and you won't hear from them again. I hired Master's last year to do an oil to gas conversion. I've had some questions and they have come to inspect several times and come up with solutions to my concerns. Master's did not leave me high and dry after a $10K job. Thank you Tom!

Master plumbing and heating is now Universal. TERRIBLE service. I pay a monthly charge and every time they come they need to charge for something. The techs are inexperienced, do not know the system and have to come back. After spending $900 for a hot water heater repair (heater installed by Master in 2020), problem persisted. They told me I needed a new hot water heater, which is under warranty, but they need $3700 to install. Got another plumber, City Suburban Plumbing and the problem resolved. I liked Master Plumbing and their services but they have definitely changed for the worst. My recommendation is find a new company.

DO NOT USE - They send inexperienced "techs", overcharge for their services, and they blame their mistakes/issues on them being two different companies. Do yourself a favor and call around.

Got a new system installed last year and at 10 pm the other night the upstairs heat wouldn’t go on, we have a newborn so called right away and they got someone out to us by 10:30 and had it all fixed and on by 11, so happy with them

Be on the lookout. Abusive unreasonable pricing. Their service tech who came out to provide an estimate was very professional and helpful. However, their corporate pricing was utterly ridiculous. The project was replacing toilet mounting ring, and small section of waste pipe. It was a 2.5 hour job. The quote was just over $2000. That’s approximately $1000 per hour. The materials were about 50 bucks. I very politely declined the work, and promptly found another plumber at less than half the price.
