My hot water tank stopped supplying hot water on 12/19. They called a guy out the next day, which was a Saturday. He came and lit the pilot light, I told him that it would go out since I did that already. He then noticed water coming from the control valve and said they would order a replacement part. I never heard back from them on Monday so I called in the late afternoon, to find they hadnt even ordered the part and said it wouldn't be in till after the holiday. Then billed me a 140 dollars just for coming to my house to light the pilot light and leaving. Scam business.

We’re sorry to hear about your frustration and appreciate the opportunity to clarify what occurred.
When our technician visited on Saturday, December 20th, he responded during a period of exceptionally high emergency call volume, with our team working overtime to restore hot water and heat for customers during the holiday season. During the visit, the pilot light was found to be out and was safely relit, restoring hot water at that time. While on site, the technician also noted that the water heater was very old and showing signs of failure, including leakage at the control valve. These conditions are consistent with a unit that is at or beyond its expected service life.
In situations involving aging equipment with multiple signs of failure, we typically discuss options with the homeowner, including repair versus replacement, before proceeding. Because of the age and condition of the tank, replacement was discussed as a likely long-term solution.
We understand how stressful it can be to lose hot water, especially during the winter and around the holidays. While we respectfully disagree with the characterization of our business, we stand behind the professionalism of our technician and the work performed. We remain committed to honest service, clear communication, and doing our best to help every customer—even when outcomes are not what anyone hoped for.
We wish you the best moving forward and appreciate the opportunity to respond.
