Reasonable price | $1,000+ I live in a prewar building. The gas had been turned off in my unit for 10 to 15 years, and I had been looking for someone to help me through the difficult process of turning on the gas with conEdison. I had originally gone with someone who tried to take my money and who took over two years to basically get nothing done. He couldn’t even get the process correct. When I contacted Evangelos, he was swift and professional. He came to look at the work to be done, gave me a quote, and he got everything done within three weeks. This includes getting permits, appointment appointments with the DOB, and getting another appointment with ConEd. Everything was brought to code and Evangelos double checks everything—which I was so thankful for because gas is very serious in NY Evangelos is incredibly thorough and very communicative, as was Tina, in his office. On a personal note, Evangelos is on time, respectful, and an extremely kind individual. I’ve had some very bad experiences in the city and I would fully recommend Hydraulics Mechanical for anything. Thank you Tina for always being there for me and my family. My heater was giving issues and she automatically advised me to get in touch with Angelo! When speaking to Angelo he gave him so many tips and knowledge. After about 2-3 hours the issue with my frozen pipes were resolved! This is the company to use if you need quality work and have to deal with Con Edison. Con Edison shut gas to my house. Angelo and crew quickly accessed the situation and made repairs in two days. They also came early in preparation to perform the necessary pressure tests with the DOB and Con Edison. Tina was always on the phone with Con Edison to expedite the process to return gas service to my house. Con Edison was informed I have a heart condition and my neighbor is 80 years old but they did not expedite return of service. If Tina did not call Con Edison, we would still not have gas. Hydraulics Mechanical is the best commercial plumbing company - Angelo is exceptionally knowledgeable master plumber and operates a well run company. The mechanics are all good and polite and they really know how to deal with the Con Edison maze.

Similar to a lot of great comments about this company, Hydraulics Mechanical was there for us in our time of need. After having my gas shutoff by unprofessional workers at National Grid, I had the daunting task of finding a master plumber in the hectic December holiday season. It took a lot of phone calls but once I spoke to Tina from Hydraulics Mechanical, I was at ease. She knew exactly what I was talking about and she moved quickly to inform Angelo of the needs of the job. They didn't charge a fee to look at pictures and to come out and look at the problem. I spoke to Tina on Saturday and by Monday, the team at Hydraulics Mechanical was at my door and ready to work. They completed the job in one day, which included installing new gas lines, new pipes for the stove installation, boiler check up and a vent system for the dryer. The team, Jovan, Cito and Angelo, were knowledgeable, professional and worked efficiently to get the job done. Also, the communication with Tina and Angelo was great and kept us in the loop of all necessary steps to finish the project and get the gas back on. Gas was turned on by Tuesday, the next day! They also assisted with Department of Buildings and their clearance. Please keep in mind: this all occurred during the holiday season and less than a month timeline. Truly amazing and many thanks and appreciation to the team. Highly recommended!

Angelo installed the boiler in my parents house a couple years ago, and he was absolutely amazing and gave quality service. Very knowledgeable, patient, and transparent. Today our boiler had an issue and stopped working so we reached out to Angelo for assistance. He responded super fast, and in under 10 minutes over the phone he walked me and my father through the issue. He troubleshooted with us, and the issue with our boiler was easily fixed! I had a problem with National Grid shutting off my gas due to a minor leak. I ended up getting a shady contractor who promised me the world and didn't deliver anything. He saw that I was under duress and took advantage of the situation, stealing money and giving me the runaround for two weeks. A friend recommended that I reach out to Tina and Angelo at Hydraulics Mechanical. This was the absolute best decision, and I wish it had been the first decision I made. I called Tina and explained the situation, and she made me feel comfortable that they could help. She had Angelo stop by to look at the situation. Angelo came and explained what needed to be done, provided a quote which was fair and within a few days he had the permits to get the repairs done. The very next day I had gas running in my home. Their team was the absolute best, and I highly recommend them.

First I want to say thank you so much to Angelo and Tina, you guys did a amazing job with your work for me the pass week. Angelo and his team understand the science of steam! There is no simpler way to put it! One may think that this is a given for any plumber, but unfortunately this isn't the case. We have an old steam boiler for a five-family building and over the winter experienced loud banging noises up and down the pipes and crazy cycling in the boiler, turning on and off. The water level was also fluctuating a lot, specially during startup, and the water feeder was asking for extra water, constantly flooding the tank. We had several people come in and look at the problems but even though they tried different fixes, no-one seemed to understand the issue. Angelo came recommended by another plumber who specifically said "he knows steam". Boy was he right! Angelo came in. identified several issues with the main steam pipe, the return lines and some other things I didn't fully understand. He came back with his crew, took care of the issues, replaced some pipes, did some other magic and oh my! We have our peace and quiet back! Boiler runs smooth, no banging and no cycling! Can't thank him enough! His team is amazing, very careful and clean! It's unfortunate that these days steam is a dying art but thankfully there are some plumbers that understand the science behind it and can take care of steam boilers! If you have a steam boiler, you need to keep Angelo's number on your contact list!

I cannot recommend working with Angelo and Tina enough! We had a gas leak in our home, and ConEdison shut off our gas. We had 5 days to hire a master licensed plumber to fix the leak and correct any violations, or else we would be looking at 2-3 weeks at least without gas (most likely more). After contacting several other plumbers, some flat out refused to do the work, or deliberately wanted to work after the 5-day window. Also, their quotes were outrageously high. After Angelo took a look, he spoke honestly about what needed to be done, what he would do, and how he would do it. No one else went into so much detail. And his price was ultimately very fair and reasonable compared to what we previously were quoted. It took about 1-2 days to complete all the work he outlined, and another day for ConEdison to do the inspection to turn on the gas. It was all done so quickly and well! All within the 5-day emergency window. I would not work with anyone else in the future, if there was any issue with the gas in our home. Not to mention both Angelo and Tina were by our side when dealing with all the bureaucratic nonsense that is ConEdison and the DOB. They took care of all of that and the scheduling! I recently had the pleasure of meeting Evangelos and Cisco (I believe those were their names). National grid had turned off my gas due to a gas pipe crack. These plumbers were scheduled to arrive from 8-9am and arrived at 7:50 am. They wasted no time and go to work right away. I was impressed with their high level of expertise. They both carefully assessed the plumbing problems and thoroughly explained the necessary repairs. I appreciated that they did not push for unnecessary fixes. In addition, Evangelos stayed with my family and I until national grid answered. When they did answer to turn back on my gas- they gave me an appointment for a week later. I am so grateful this company when out of their way to call again for me and fight for my gas to be out on that same day (as I am pregnant and have a toddler).
