Representative arrived at my house for mold remediation service. Barely looked around and quoted a price of $6,000.00. Did not perform a home health evaluation just said we needed this. I continued to shop around and get advice. I finally had a home evaluation by an independent firm. Mold problem not extensive and air quality good. I contacted to cancel and used another company for 1/2 price. I am extremely satisfied with my choice and fear they are fraudulent in their evaluation and services needed. Paul came to give me an estimate and he illegally told me I have mold throughout my basement. According to New York State law, there is a prohibition against the performance of both the assessment and remediation on the same property by the same individual. By law, no company can tell you that there is mold presence without a lab test. Don't get scammed by them selling you mold remediation without doing lab work first. And two other independent inspectors who are mold specialists actually told me there is no visible suggestion of mold spores in my basement wood, only effervescence (a term that Paul doesn't like for some reason). Be careful to do your due diligence before handing them a check.

Had the basement done in of 2016 after many years of water down there during heavy rains storms and when we had extensive snow that did not melt away. Been shopping around for years for a final solution. Been in contact with Steve from Home Healthy Home for years then finally took the plunge. I tried to save money and do the outside work but that didn't help.. ugh .. Band aid with holes.. LOL. Wished I would have done it a few years prior as now over 18 months later everything stress less.. Crew fast and relatively clean as it can be. Lotas pre and post work afterwards but it's worth it if you want a dry basement.
