I feel bad leaving any small or local business a bad review but it's turned out to be the only recourse I have after a bad experience with their company. I was referred to Veator plumbing by my neighbor who had recently used them. I had a blocked sewer vent that needed some sort of snake. A tech was sent in a relatively fast time frame from when I called. The tech called me from a cell phone to let me know he was on his way. He arrived while I was working remotely, and after a few minutes outside his truck was gone. I texted the number to ask if he was done, and he replied that he'd run to the store for a tool, which was obviously fine. When he returned, he took about 20 minutes working on it, and told me it was finished. He charged $345 which I thought was a bit steep considering most of the labor time was him buying a part, but I know that when you call any contractor/plumber/electrician that you are basically at their mercy and didn't mind paying that as long as the job was done. When I asked if they took a card he said yes but "really preferred cash" and to oblige I went to an ATM and got his cash, and even ended up giving him extra when the amount due was $345 and he didn't have change for $360. Fast forward three weeks later, and the exact problem Id called them for had returned. At this point I texted the tech who did the work that I'd texted with before to let him know that the problem had persisted, and never received a reply. I called during business hours three times over the next two days and did not receive a call back. The clogged vent was putting sewage into the street every time we flushed the toilet, so I did not have the luxury of waiting on an answer so I eventually called another service to come fix it. They basically said that whoever has been there prior to them hadn't done a thorough job and had missed a root that was causing the back up. I'm over three weeks clear of that work that was done and there have been no further issues. Overall I hate leaving bad reviews and it's something I basically never do, but between the rushed job that wasn't complete, implying I needed to go leave to get cash when they accept cards, and then no response back to an extremely polite and professional text that I sent letting them know that they hadn't completed the job and then not being able to get ahold of them via the main number leaves a bad taste. It's certainly possible they do great work and I caught them at a bad time, but that won't get my $360 back.
