Reasonable price I can't speak highly enough of the crew at Dave Goldberg Plumbing. No one likes to come home to find no running water in their house. They squeezed me into their schedule the day I called, no emergency fees. Kevin was professional and polite. It was a complex and unusual situation that was well beyond a one person fix. As it turns out, my well pump was struck by lightning, but the well is shared with my neighbor. Chris, Leroy, and JR returned first thing the next morning. They made quick work of an unusual situation. Again, the whole crew was polite, courteous, and professional. At no point did I feel uneasy about anything they did, as everything was explained to me. I will certainly use Dave Goldberg Plumbing again, and recommend them to anyone who has plumbing repair needs. I also feel like their prices were reasonable and not exorbitant. Overpriced | $200–400 This company likes to scam the elderly. I am a plumber in the Catskills. My grandmother in Putnam County has a leaking tub. Its an older tub from the 60s. I went to change the washer on the cartridge, but the screw was rotted away and I couldn't get it out. I needed to return with tools to extract the screw or a new cartridge. Grandma was worried about the drip filling the septic tank so she called Goldberg before I could get to her with my schedule. They came and immediately told her they couldn't get it apart and she needed a new shower body. My grandmother said they didnt bring any tools in & that they just turned the handle and said it needed to be replaced. This is despite the fact that I had the cartridge out less than a month ago. Looks to me like they saw an elderly woman and figured they could upsell a new shower body. They also told her she would have to call a general contractor to remove/replace the tiles, which is complete unnecessary as the shower body can be replaced from behind by removing sheetrock instead of the tile, as is common practice. Lastly, they told her that the body was leaking in the wall and that the wall would need to be left open to dry after they do the work. As of a month ago their was no leak in the wall and even though one could of started in the last month, this sounds like they were trying to scare her into a shower body replacement, as well, as they couldn't possibly see behind the wall at that time. When i called to speak with mangament or otherwise to clarify the issue, they insisted that their most specialized tech came in and attempted to deconstruct the shower and failed, while again, my 93 year-old grandmother said that he brought no tools inside with him and was there less than 30 minutes. in conclusion Goldberg would rather double down on their lack of abilities and rob your grandma and call her a liar than do any actual plumbing or problem-solving.

FIRST OF ALL, THERE IS NO SCAMMING OF THE ELDERLY BY OUR COMPANY AND THIS IS COMPLETELY FALSE ACCUSATION. That is quite a serious accusation and is totally false. We have been to your grandmothers a few times in the past and took care of her problems without issue. The same mechanic has gone to her each time and he went on Saturday. Repairing old plumbing fixtures as you know can be a challenge. Since you were unable to repair she had to call someone else to help. For us to spend the time to repair a faucet of that age and offer no guarantee we would be successful, did not make sense, so my mechanic recommended a new shower body. No work or scamming was done just an honest evaluation and assessment of the situation. We charge for the visit and the assessment as I am sure you charge customers in your business for your professional expertise. We tell everyone the cost of the service call on the phone when they setup the appointment and nothing is unknown to the customer. We could have easily tried to repair the old faucet and made things worse which would call for more immediate need to repair rather than make suggestions and ways to schedule work for a permanent solution. I have directed my office to not cash the check for the service call on Saturday. You can handle your grandmothers issues from now on. We would appreciate removal of these false claims of scamming of the elderly at your earliest convenience.

Needed emergency service on Saturday 12/13. I called Goldberg Plumbing and Hearing at about 10am and by 1:30 in afternoon they arrived, fixed the problem (not a simple repair) and were gone by 3:30. They’re the best! We have a steam heat system which is relatively unusual because they have mostly been updated with newer systems from what I understand. Nevertheless, after bringing in countless plumbing companies, Goldberg was the only one that was able to figure it out. They’ll always be my first call for all my plumbing needs moving forward.

My neighbors gave Goldberg plumbing strong recommendations and the crews work still exceeded it! Jimmy, Carlos, and his son were all exceptionally. They tackled a half dozen issues in our new house, both big and small. Cracked pipes, rusted out water tanks, even a mouse stuck in a washing machine discharge tube… nothing seemed to phase them. Kind, professional, and full of expertise. They showed up right on time and gave a spot in time assessment before rolling up their sleeves. Wish I were allowed to give more than just five stars because this team deserves it.

Overpriced | $1,000+ I'll try to be objective as possible here. Goldberg Plumbing was extremely unprofessional and dealing with them was the most painful and stressful contractor experience ever in my 20 years of home ownership. It should be turnkey for a customer from our Northern Westchester community where customers should be guided through intended next steps by a competent contractor and not mistreated for asking questions. Their office people act bothered and get frustrated when asked questions. They behaved rude, individuals would never identify themselves, abruptly interrupt mid-questions, and just nasty and don't deserve local business. I'm sure they'll reply back with nonsense - so in anticipation, all i have to say is - If a contractor's office personnel behaves dismissive towards a customer, throws the phone, yells at its' customer - then said customer will also reach their breaking point, react and reciprocate. It started off horrible from day one and it never recovered with their office personnel, who as the primary interface with Goldberg's customer base, are doing that company a large disservice. What is intended to be feedback and opportunity for reflection, i hope won't be dismissed by ego. Small family business should not behave like this and I am appalled they do. In reading some of the other reviews, it seems to be common issue. Ultimately they don't like answering to questions, being challenged, called out on their inconsistent answers, irrational steps, or illogical answers. Resolution with them is near impossible. I tried talking to their owner and they refused to connect me with the owner so that I can communicate what was happening and how my experience grossly deviated from their advertised commitment of - "Treat others how you want to be treated" - "Customer service, be there when the customers need you and always communicate" - "Offer solutions to the customers problem, not a sales pitch. " If you want a company that will pull the rug from under you and walk off the job, go ahead and call Goldberg. It was probably for the best as I was starting to feel unsafe with their work practices. If you want professional plumbing service, do yourself a favor and reach out to anyone else. For me, Goldberg was the most incompetent company I've ever worked with. I get better service at TSA, post office, etc. Complete amateurs in Northern Westchester and a waste of time and money. The local municipality/utility expressed dissatisfaction interfacing with them. I started over with a new contractor and what a difference. I was trying to communicate with their owner, but their office personnel never allowed me to connect with them to give them opportunity for diplomacy.

I had an emergency today (a broken pipe) and called my usual plumbing company who told me that they could get to me on Friday (five days away), and to try Goldberg. I called Goldberg and spoke with a wonderful representative who was able to send out a plumber the same day. The plumber was incredibly nice and fixed the problem. I am so grateful to Goldberg and would recommend them to anyone who has a plumbing need.

Reasonable price I called with a plumbing issue. I was told that the mechanic will call you when he is on the way ,which he did . Kevin arrived at my house on time and looked over the problem. He explained to me what he was going to do . When he finished . He showed me that everything was completed and no leaks .
