Reasonable price I bought a large Flatbush 1 BR co-op that had not been renovated in decades, and all-skill contractor Bolo gave it new life in every room. Owner Lawrence and his very knowledgable crew, led by foreman, Eric, were excellent. Their high-quality craft, deep insights, precision, and compassion, were a pleasure to benefit from. Everything was run smoothly, on time and for a fair price. They spent a good deal of time patiently educating me about numerous matters, including best practices for smoothly dealing with the building staff and management company, helping me to make decisions about things I was unaware of by thoughtfully explaining options, etc. They maintain reliable and beneficial supplier relationships whom they clearly partner well with. All their craftsmen were talented and efficient (carpenters, masons, painters, assemblers, installers, cleaners). The company was adaptable to variables beyond our control that tend to arise: We did not loose time when 2 Home Depots were out of desired doors ("Let's check Lowe's across the parking lot") or Home Depot was late to deliver appliances they left Bolo the task of bringing into the apartment after a sidewalk delivery, discovering the kitchen underfloor was in worse condition than anticipated, etc. As with any business that has on-the-fly decisions to make or optional services to choose, as the client, expect expansion/contraction of the scope of work and costs. Bolo also runs professional cleaning services, so the place was spotless when they finished since I elected their thorough service. They even were generous enough to come back to honor their warranty and check what might’ve been faulty new electricity, but really was a faulty ceiling fan part I bought, which the manufacturer sent me a replacement for that resolved the issue. Lawrence and his team renovated 3 rooms in our NYC home and they did a very thorough and meticulous job. The construction crew showed up early every morning and left the job site as clean as possible at the end of every day while work was in progress. Bolo also specializes in post-construction clean up so from start to finish, everything was excellent. Lawrence, Eric, and their team communicate really well throughout the process and their work is impeccable. Bolo Renovations also connected us with vendors who provided excellent service and products. Great contractor to work with!

You hope that everything goes well with an install, but generally nothing ever goes as smoothly as planned and when that happens you want to go with a company that is responsive and quick to respond. We found that with Bolo Renovations. We did a tub acrylic install. The installer was professional and did a great job... Except there was something not quite done correctly and a pipe started to leak a week later. When I emailed Cal Bath someone called within 2 hours. They were kind, helpful and responsive (even at 8 in the evening when they called to check on what was going on) they had a Plummer out the next day (yes even though we talked after hours they made sure it was being taken care of) and someone came to fix the install within 2 days. They then called same day and had someone out to fix any and all spots and damage from the leak (during the week if Thanksgiving too). They were so quick and efficient that I will always be going back. Hopefully no little mishap next time, but I have the reassurance that if it does happen, their response is quick, efficient and professional. I've had places complain to me of the cost of fixing their mistakes and drag it out for weeks so I know this response is exactly what you want. We also have a wonderful looking and working shower/tub combo.

We live in a 80 year old building in Manhattan and both bathrooms were showing their age with 6 of us using them for nearly 30 years until "kids" moved out. In 2022 I looked online for a company that would renew them without having to tear everything out. I found Bolo Renovations online, so scheduled a time for someone to come by and look at our main bathroom. He told us precisely what would be done, how much time it would take, the cost, and the choice of what materials to use. An installer was scheduled; he was here 10 days total, everything was done very professionally and he even cleaned up. So we scheduled the kitchen faucet to be done. Again-everything was done very professionally, and clean-up was perfect. We have had many compliments from friends. Even our friend who is a perfectionist in everything he has done in his house was impressed. We would not hesitate to recommend Bolo Renovations to anyone looking for a bathroom remodeler.

We hired Bolo for our kitchen renovation in winter/spring 2023. Although we appreciated the team's presence onsite, they left the job unfinished and messy. We were hoping to resolve the situation with them directly, but ultimately ended up needing to hire someone else to fix and finish the job.

They did a great job at our massage spa in midtown Manhattan, most of which were installing walls, some carpentry followed by painting all throughout. Guys absolutely quick, efficient and experienced at what they do. I would say good contractors are hard to find and Bolo Renovations is one of them for sure. Next time I do some more alterations for my business, Bolo is definitely the first one to consult. I would have hired them to do some renovations/repairs even for my own house if I lived close by. Bolo Renovations just completed a large project for us. They replace our wood flooring in the apartment, complete kitchen and bathroom renovations. They give us an estimate for labor cost only and we visited several showroom to select all the finish products. Their professionalism throughout the process was excellent. Eric is an exceptional craftsman. Jeff and Oscar was great. All the staff they had was really professional and their work was clean. They finished ahead of schedule. We moved from NY to NJ and miss NY terribly. Things just seemed to work better and quicker in NY than in NJ. We had a terrible experience trying to find a contractor to repair our floor and closets as well as to install towel racks and shelves. Every time we called contractors in NJ, either they didn't answer the phone or they did not show up after agreeing to do the work. They never called to say why they weren't showing up either. I called repeatedly. One guy had excuse after excuse...It was covid time. One of his guys had covid. He was busy with other jobs. He would call next week. Then the week after. But he never did. Another guy even gave us a contract to sign and asked for a deposit. Yet, when he said he would show up, he didn't. He never called either to give an explanation. When I called he said he was on the road and could I call back later. This happened 5 times. Another time, he assured us he was coming. Then I called an hour after the time he was to come and he said he was stuck in traffic. I asked him to text if he would be late and say when he would be coming. He never did. I called again and he said he wasn't coming. He unapologetically said, "Well. You know. Things happen!". I asked him to give me my deposit back since it was too stressful for me to deal with him and, Thank God, he finally did. I gave up on the list of contractors recommended by our coop building. Then, I decided to look for a contractor on Yelp. Most contractors I contacted were based in NY said they could not come to NJ. Others asked us to send photos and videos of the work we wanted to have done before they would commit. The only contractor who seemed serious was Bolo Cleaning. Lawrence said to call his office and reserve a free estimate and his office scheduled a visit to our home for the free estimate. I was doubtful that anyone would show up. I was surprised when Lawrence showed up and said he was the owner of Bolo Clean and here to do the estimate. Even more surprising, I found out he was Liberian like my father (For those of you who don't know, our country, Liberia, has gone through many years of war and is slowly trying to recover. I have not seen too many Liberians and was definitely surprised that a Liberian would show up to give me an estimate on work to be done in our home.) We went through the hassle of getting my coop building's management to approve the scope of work and he had to revise it several times to meet the management's requirements before we finally got approval to proceed. His team - Eric, Lennon, Jefferson and Oscar - is very good. They are working on sanding, staining and refinishing our floor and fixing closets that were coming unhinged. They also installed shower shelves, towel racks and bathroom shelves we had purchased earlier. They are polite and friendly guys. My experience with Bolo Renovation, in particular, working with Lawrence (owner) and Eric (contract worker), was a great experience. They did everything as promised in a professional, timely, and friendly manner with a focus on the customer and his/her needs. I liked their open communications style too, allowing for discussion and the exchange of ideas on how to best accomplish the work. Very pleased with the re-caulking of the bathroom tub area and the custom shelving/woodwork done in the living room. Will use them again for future projects. Highly recommend. After I purchased my home, I wanted quite a bit of work done. We had to remove all the carpet, paint the entire house, install smart equipment as well as some electrical work. We entrusted bolo renovations. I was given a timeframe and quote from the owner and he remained true to everything that was promised. We even had some unforseen additional tasks and they were all taken care of without the bill going overboard. I cannot thank him enough. My house is beautiful. All the workers were very professional and respectful. I would definitely recommend Bolo renovations Thank you for transforming my house!!!
