I can’t say enough good things about this company and the people behind it. They have always been extremely professional, kind, and absolutely amazing to work with. Four years later, she still checks in on me and my boys, making sure we’re doing okay and asking if there’s ever anything we need help with. What started as a business relationship has turned into so much more. Her daughter has now become our babysitter, and we truly consider them family. It’s rare to find people who genuinely care about you long after the business is done, and I’m so grateful to have found that in them. I would recommend them to anyone!

One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. Our property sustained significant water damage, and what was already a stressful situation became substantially more difficult because of our experience with 406 Disaster Response. We ultimately ended up in a lengthy dispute over the final amount billed, including charges that we believed were not covered by insurance and changes to the invoice that we did not approve. Throughout the process, communication was extremely frustrating. We were told that certain discussions could not take place directly with our insurance company because they were supposedly “illegal,” which was difficult to understand given that our other contractors were willing to communicate directly with insurance. The situation eventually resulted in legal proceedings and a payment arrangement. More recently, the office handling those payments misplaced our first payment. We provided documentation showing that the payment had been delivered, including a receipt and evidence that we had dropped it off. We were subsequently informed that the payment had been located. For a customer already dealing with a significant financial dispute, having a payment go missing and then receiving payment-related communications before the issue was resolved was incredibly frustrating. I understand that disputes happen, but I believe restoration companies should make an already difficult situation easier—not create additional stress through billing disputes, communication problems, and payment-processing issues. I strongly recommend carefully reviewing the scope of work, invoices, insurance coverage, and payment terms before moving forward. Based on our experience, I would not use this company again.

Ariel, we recognize that property damage is stressful, and we are sorry this experience added to that stress. Because this review concerns the same service, account, and court matter previously addressed in response to your husband, we will not disclose or repeat your family’s private insurance, billing, payment, or legal information online. Please note that 406 Disaster Response communicated directly with the insurance carrier and provided documentation supporting the work performed, including photographs, moisture records, time records, and invoicing information. What we could not do was negotiate policy coverage, insurance benefits, or settlement terms on your behalf because we are not licensed public adjusters. The billing dispute was addressed through the court process and resolved by agreement. We respect every customer’s right to share their experience, while also standing by the documentation supporting the services provided. Our company remains committed to clear communication, thorough documentation, professional restoration practices, and protecting the privacy of the clients we serve. To respect everyone involved, this will be our final public response regarding this account.

Second review: I’m not sure why my first review was removed, as it reflected my personal experience. We had a very difficult experience with this company. The work itself was generally fine, but we disputed the classification of the water damage as Category 3. Our insurance and the state representative classified it as Category 2. The flooding resulted from fresh water caused by wind-driven rain and hail. We also had issues with billing. An invoice contained incorrect charges, and the amount was repeatedly presented for payment. Before the matter went to court, quantities, unit costs, and the total were changed without giving us an opportunity to pay the revised amount. We attempted to resolve the remaining balance with the company and our insurance, but the dispute ultimately went to court and took approximately a year to resolve. We ended up paying the remaining balance through installments, while the company was responsible for its own legal fees. My biggest issue was the lack of communication and willingness to work with us to resolve the billing dispute. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. In response to the company’s reply: I stand by what I wrote and have documentation supporting my account of the events, including the court records. The company stated in court that the difference between Category 2 and Category 3 pricing was approximately $40, but that information was not previously provided to us, our insurance, or the state representative. Had the pricing difference been clearly explained and documented from the beginning, this dispute may have been avoided.

Chris, Your original review was removed by Google for violating its terms and policies. That determination was made by Google, not 406 Disaster Response. Regarding your continued allegations surrounding the water damage classification, invoicing, and payment, these matters have already been extensively addressed, including through formal legal proceedings. Both parties had the opportunity to present their positions and supporting documentation, and the financial dispute was ultimately resolved. 406 Disaster Response pursued the outstanding balance through the appropriate legal channels, and you have since paid the agreed balance in full. We consider this matter settled and closed. It is also important to clarify that, prior to publishing this additional review, you received formal correspondence from our legal counsel addressing this dispute. Despite the resolution of the financial matter and that prior correspondence, you have chosen to raise these allegations publicly again. Should you or Ariel have any additional concerns, we encourage you to reference the correspondence previously provided by our attorney and direct any further questions to legal counsel. 406 Disaster Response respects every customer's right to share their experience. We also have a responsibility to protect the integrity of our business and provide accurate information when circumstances surrounding our services are publicly misrepresented. We stand behind our work, our adherence to professional restoration standards, and the resolution reached through the legal process.

A few years ago, my basement flooded with sewer water. It contaminated everything. One call, and I had a team of professionals, at my house, within 30 min. They were so compassionate, let me have my "freak out" moment, and came in like a tornado determined to get everything dried and then assessed the damage. After they completed all they had to do, they worked with my insurance company to explain why they did each step, and how it was important to the safe cleanup of my home. The process of losing half your home can be very expensive, and since I am a banker by trade, I had no idea what all was involved in both the safe mitigation and the rebuild portion of this process. I realized, at that time, I had no clue what my insurance was going to cover, and how slow they could be. After speaking with my adjuster and reading what they would pay for, I was more confused than ever. (I also was sharing a bed with a lanky child who liked to put his toes in my ribs, so I was exhausted.) Laura walked me through each line item, explained it and also jumped in to help bridge the gap with my adjuster. What I learned from Laura and the team was that they believe in what they do, and want to leave the world better than it was yesterday. They took so much pressure off of me, at a time I thought my head and heart might explode, that I was able to keep up with most of my 'normal life' while navigating the loss of half of my home. Then she gave me back my home!

Thank you so much for sharing this. We still remember how overwhelming that loss was, and we are truly grateful that you trusted our team to help you through it. Sewer-water damage is stressful enough without also having to decipher insurance language, understand mitigation procedures, and manage the disruption to your family’s daily life. Our goal was to make the process feel a little less frightening by explaining each step, advocating for the work necessary to safely restore your home, and helping you keep moving forward. Your kindness, trust, and sense of humor, even while sharing a bed with a lanky child and his rib-finding toes, meant more to us than you know. It was an honor to care for your home and help give it back to you. Thank you for allowing 406 Disaster Response to be part of your recovery.

When we were almost done with having our restoration done from our main bathroom flooding we had a nasty storm come in and knock at 50 foot pine tree into the yard and it took out our fence! 406 Disaster Response came in and patched up the fence so the neighbors pups could still play. They brought in their crew and got the tree cleaned up in no time so our littles could be back outside in the yard to play. When they were finishing our restoration they made sure everything was anchored for us and safe for all the kids. We had 3 different incidents occur in a short time and every time they took care of us! Highly recommend. Very professional. Very compassionate company. Wasn't disappointed at all. Will always call them when in a pickle and recommend every time.

When we were preparing to sell our house, we contacted 406 Disaster Response to help with some carpet cleaning and other cleaning and let me tell you, that carpet was super clean and the team was very nice and they were such hard workers. After we moved we had a water issue reported to us by a realtor showing our house and I contacted 406 to see if they could go check out the issue and let me know what the issue was. They went over immediately and fixed the issue without hesitation!! It felt so good being 1,000 miles away and knowing that the issue was resolved. Very thankful for the team at 406 Disaster Response! Thank you!! ☺️

406 Disaster Response did a sewer clean up for me under my house and did a fantastic job. They put a plastic runner down on my carpet to keep it clean and they were there immediately to take care of my problem. They told me ahead of time just what they would have to do and answered any questions that I had. They worked with my plumber, so the job to repair my sewer went smooth. I can't say enough about the service I got from the team from 406Disaster

No one wants a disaster in their home and in home business. I'm a licensed childcare provider and 406 Disaster Response was nothing but compassionate, professional and accommodating to us as we had to go through mitigation of damage, insurance and a rebuild. If I had questions they answered them and helped guide us along the way. They brought hope & happiness back to our home & childcare facility. We don't know what we would have done without them! The team that came to my house to do a sewage clean up and disinfecting did a fantastic job. They kept me informed with everything they were doing and a time line on their progress. They were very professional. While they were working, the office team worked with my insurance to ensure I was covered. What an awful company. I had my reservations at the first meeting. My husband contacted them with my concerns and we were assured we would be involved in decisions. What a joke. I told them specifically what we wanted to keep and what didn’t need to be recovered after our house fire. The items we were CLEAR on were not taken care of. Everything we said we didn’t want recovered was first and we were charged for it, even after telling them we did not want them to clean it. The items and debris do not need removed, as at demo (which is less than their ridiculous charges) will take care of. They even charge for the initial call at $253!! They hired an outside group, which showed up without the company I hired on site and just threw our belongings in the trash. Their lead broke an heirloom we had taken down to grab after we were done working around the property and broke it. There is so much more I could go on and on about with this company. Like telling your client, “Now let me tell you how this works.” That was the phrase that got them fired!! 5 days with less than 6 hours of GARBAGE work (where I did more in 4 hours by myself) cost me $20,000+!! Run as far away from them and do research!! My inspector even laughed at the people.

4 days after my wedding our house we bought 3 months prior flooded. Not gonna lie as new home owners we panicked and called our insurance at 10pm and they said call a disaster restoration company. I called 406 and they were at my home in 30 minutes with dryers and gear to get the water under control. They were super amazing even when my fur babies were not (for context they were strangers in my home as far as the dogs knew lol) but the staff understood. They communicated directly with insurance and with us so we knew exactly what to expect and what the plan was. Would highly recommend especially when you want someone (Laura ❤️)who can quite literally explain the entire process and answer all your questions

Camille and Chris, it was truly a honor to work with you both on your home. We know that disasters in the home are incredibly stressful and it can be overwhelming having strangers in your home, moving things around and in your case, cutting holes in your walls and floors. Your home turned out beautiful! You chose some beautiful new colors and patterns. Thank you for your kind words. We appreciate you both!
