New Reasonable price | $1,400–1,600 Richmond Plumbing has worked on my shower, my boiler, my water heater and my kitchen faucet. Repair of a leaky shower head was accomplished quickly and expertly. Likewise the water heater which had a hot water outlet pipe that had burst due to the build up of sediment thanks to DEP turning the water off repeatedly in a street repair job that dragged on for months. The clogged pipe caused a drop in hot water pressure in my kitchen sink. We noticed this after the water heater itself was repaired. Doubtless unclogging the pipe freed some of the sediment which then clogged the canister in the kitchen faucet. Richmond Plumbing returned to install a new faucet and it worked briefly but the same problem recurred. The following day a master plumber came to our house and flushed the water heater and the lines to our faucet, before installing a second faucet. This resolved the issue and we were not charged but there was a side effect: while testing the faucet the plumber noticed a drip from the ceiling. Thus began the goose chase - the house is old (circa 1910) and if you disturb one part of the system there can be ripple effects. The plumber and his assistant worked well beyond quitting time to find the leak and stop it. This left our walls with gaping holes above the kitchen sink, on the staircase wall and finally in the bathroom where the leak originated. It was not a pain free experience but Richmond Plumbing did ultimately find and fix the leak and at the end of the day we had a functional faucet once again in the kitchen.
