New Reasonable price BEWARE (Ronkonkoma location): Although the experience started out well for flood damage, unfortunately in the end the workers stole my jewelry and denied responsibility. The police officer that came to my home for the report, stated that 2 weeks prior the officer filed a report with Rainbow Restoration for another theft in the same area. I was shocked. The company later admitted this was true, but again denied it was their work crew that stole anything as it was never proven, even though one of the workers was on both theft sites, and it was verified the workers were left alone twice on my property for a short period of time. SHAME on them for not firing these workers who continue to be out there? Can I prove it? No, it is my word against theirs. I am heartbroken for my loss and violation in my home. I am very trusting as they seemed so kind, and I left them alone for short periods of time while the work was being done. Response time 1–2 hr

Having had bad past experiences with contractors, I was very trepidatious with hiring someone to repair my house after a motor vehicle rammed it. When my insurance company suggested Rainbow Restoration (a franchise contractor), I was wary. However, after an initial phone call with the office to discuss the parameters of the project I was put at ease. The owner, Russell Regan came personally to access the damage, answered my questions in a professional manner displaying years of knowledge. His company would be able to furnish the framers, roofers, drywall, spacklers, painters, electricians, plumbers, masons, trim and finishers, carpet layers, etc., etc. to repair my home structurally and foundationally in a timely manner enabling me to return home. Additionally, they would take over communicating with the insurance company and town officials. During the project, and knowing that I was living a distance away, Russ advised me of the daily/weekly work to be performed; delivered samples to my temporary home for review; coordinated appointments to coincide with my work schedule and delivered on completion very close to initial time frame. And yes, while there are always things that need to be fine-tuned after job completion. Rainbow Reconstruction has returned my calls and addressed issues to date. All in all, the performance of Russ and Rainbow Restoration, can be summed up in a few words: reliable and trustworthy; timely and professional with easy and open communication. Our experience with Russ and his crew was 5 star all the way. After serious water damage to our entire first floor, Russ and his crew did an excellent job restoring our home. They made the process as convenient as it could possibly be. They reliably showed up early each morning and completed the job in a timely manner. They were professional, polite, and tidy. Russ was great at communicating how the restoration process would work and everything went exactly how he said it would. He was well informed about materials and readily shared his knowledge with me so I could make informed decisions. The majority of the work that Russ and his crew completed took place in our kitchen, which is now beautifully updated. My family and I are grateful for the quality work they completed and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who finds themselves in need of restoration services.

When my elderly mother’s basement flooded, we were overwhelmed and didn’t know where to turn. From the very first call, this company took complete care of everything. They handled the entire process — from the initial water cleanup and drying, through mold prevention, all the way to a full beautiful renovation of the basement. Every single person they sent to the house was professional, respectful, and hardworking. They treated my mother’s home with care and kept her informed every step of the way. Russ, the owner, is truly amazing. He was personally involved, responsive, and went above and beyond. Most impressively, they even dealt directly with the insurance company for us, which took a huge burden off our shoulders during an already stressful time. Rainbow was very professional and installed drying equipment for 5 days to dry out the water from a major steam leak. Total cost to dry out my three bedroom apartment was $20,800. Rainbow explained that remediation rates were standardized and set in agreement with the insurance companies and I should be fully reimbursed by insurance. However, my insurance company paid me only half the claim and told me the building coop was responsible for up to half of the cost of remediation through its insurance company. Three months after the leak, the building coop has refused to file a claim, leaving me out of pocket by $10K. If you use a remediation company for an apartment, be prepared to pay a significant sum with insurance reimbursement uncertain.
