Called to have a master plumber at 300/hr to look over my whole heating system and to fix a leak that I self diagnosed to be a valve. What I ended up getting someone else to change a valve and leave with heat not working. I ran to the store to get the right part since the tech had wrong part. I called to get him to come back but was told to change the thermostat myself . Apparently ,other people were calling and offering $1000 for him to go to him which he told me, so tech left me hanging. Luckily, I'm handy changed the thermostat myself so the tenants wouldn't be left with no heat, which was why he was called due to a heating complaint to HPD. $395 paid, I changed thermostat, no look over of my heating system as I asked. The recommendation was to change boiler for 10k by tech; no diagnostics, no picture, just a by word recommendation. I asked for partial refund because actual work took under an hour and was refused any partial refund. Customer service was not good. Price was high. Job was partially done. Time of arrival: I waited until our window of time 10 am- 4pm after flying in from out of state. At almost 11 am, he asked if i still needed the service, while waiting at the property. Not professional.

We are sorry you feel that way but that is not an accurate description of what transpired. We were not called for your "heating compliant". You were quoted a flat price to change the leaking radiator valve that YOU self diagnosed. The technician came with several radiator valves as you requested except, you had a convector style valve. He did change the valve, the leak was tended to, he looked over the boiler and your controls. You were told the boiler and controls are operating properly at this time but the controls/heating system is old. YOU requested a quote to change all controls and parts as you stated "I do not want to deal with a boiler breaking down" We gave you a price to change all controls or replace the boiler. The technician also told you while he was there for almost 2hrs your thermostat was defective. You are correct, we did not stay while you went to the store for a a new thermostat. We would charge additionally for the time and additional work, you did not want to pay. You paid the fee you were quoted upfront for the valve replacement. The one job does not entitle you to additional work or time once a technician is there for the same price. You misrepresent the facts and when you wanted the $20.00 REFUND towards the part we Zelled that back. The following day you then requested an additional $95.00 stating "the job took less than 1hr". You were quoted upfront a flat price to change the radiator valve, the technician did so, looked over the heating system and even diagnosed your defective thermostat. The technician was on the job for 1hr and 45min excluding travel time to the job. We strive to make a positive experience for all customer's but as a company we need charge for our time which was quoted to you up front for the valve replacement and then an hourly rate for additional work.

I needed help getting a whole house sediment filter removed because it was stuck from high water pressure and not enough shut-off valves. I called Paul Traktman Plumbing & Heating, and Leonard came out to fix it. He did a fantastic job and got the filter out with no trouble. The service was quick and professional. The price was fair for the quality of work, and I really appreciate how everything was explained clearly. I highly recommend this company for any plumbing issues.

dale & zachary really went the extra mile when dealing with my sewer line backup. previous plumbers were no-shows, unresponsive, and even gave me quotes for a complete sewer line replacement. However, dale & zachary arrived exactly when they promised, thoroughly inspected the situation and found out that my main line wasn't damaged, it just needed cleaning and treatment! Their skilled knowledge saved me a lot of money. They even arrived earlier than planned for the final repairs, got everything fixed swiftly and simply, and they made sure to clean up afterwards. If you're in Brooklyn and find yourself in a serious plumbing situation, i would recommend giving them a call. i wish they were the first ones i reached out to.

I had a leak under the slab and the team from Paul Traktman Plumbing & Heating performed a re-pipe on most of the house, excluding the newer addition. Zachary, Leonard, and Dale were fantastic. They were prompt, courteous, and well-informed. They took the time to explain the process as they went along. The cleanup was impeccable. I'm more than satisfied with their work and I would highly recommend them to anyone in Brooklyn needing plumbing services.

leonard was absolutely exceptional! he took the time to explain the situation and presented me with multiple options. he managed to save me some cash by not replacing our current tap, as it was a high-end model that just needed a new sprayer. he responded to my queries without skipping a beat. on top of his professionalism, zachary was also incredibly amicable.

We have used Paul many times and have found him (and his team members) to be professional, knowledgeable, attentive, and responsive. He does know a lot about plumbing and NYC rules/regulations... and he shares that with the customer - aaaand that's a good thing! I'd rather have a plumber, like Paul Traktman, who KNOWS what he is talking about and doing!!! He returns calls and texts, works clean, right tools/skills, uses proper safety procedures, etc. A++, highly recommended, will use again. Horrible! A total scammer and very dishonest. Used him for the Local Law 152 gas inspection to pass my building. He overstated everything and charged me extra. Told me things that didn’t need to be done and inflated the bill. Do Not use this person for any of your needs. A short person with glasses and pretends to know it all. Stay away! The absolute worst plumber to deal with and extremely rude. He came and installed a new boiler and about 6 months later there was no heat. Paul would not answer the phone and when he finally did he refused to come check it out.
