Our team previously relied on MJS Plumbing & Heating for various services and found their work satisfactory. However, our most recent experience raised concerns regarding their professionalism. We contacted them to service our office AC for a recurring issue. Unfortunately, the appointment was rescheduled seven times, causing significant disruption to our business operations. After the final reschedule, MJS Plumbing & Heating stopped responding to our calls altogether. When we reached out from a different number, they were discourteous and abruptly ended the call upon realizing who we were. We are aware of their public response stating that they informed us about no longer accepting commercial contracts due to changes in NYS insurance policies. However, we must clarify that at no point did they communicate this information to us. The only communication we received involved repeated cancellations of our appointments, followed by an extended period of unreturned calls. Our last attempt to reach them was met with an abrupt hang-up—again, with no explanation or notice regarding insurance or contract policy changes. We believe it is important to set the record straight for the benefit of future clients: the lack of transparency and courtesy was the primary issue in our experience. Such conduct falls short of professional standards, and due to this experience, we can no longer recommend MJS Plumbing & Heating.

Review: Poor Follow-Up and Communication They came to my house to fix a clogged drain, and while the initial service seemed fine, the issue returned just five days later with the drain slowing down again. I tried calling the plumbing department multiple times, but every call went straight to a full voicemail box. After several days of no response, I reached out to the water heater department instead. I spoke with two different people over the last two days, both of whom promised someone would contact me — but I’m still waiting. The lack of follow-up and poor communication is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I do not recommend their services.

We just bought our house and the previous owners self-installed the new hot water heater. We had a rotten egg smell develop in every faucet. My wife and I realized it only occurs when the hot water is on. When its cold, theres no smell. So we called MJS to come out and inspect it and see what the options were. They told us on the phone that it would be $50 to come out and that it goes towards “any work” done. The person came out and was at our home for 15-20 minutes. They tried to say we could get one piece replaced or change out the entire heater which is obviously more expensive. They ended up charging me $150… $150 for a 15 minute inspection and I think that’s absolutely ridiculous. We already knew WHAT the problem was but they lied and charged us $100 over what we were told just to tell us HOW to fix it without doing any work. There was no work done. Waiting for a resolution.

clap! clap! clap! clap! clap! clap! clap! clap! clap! clap! MJS Plumbing and Heating deserves the applause and Juan (with able suppoirt from Nestle) should take a bow. After searching every nook and cranny found and stopped the leak preventing further water damage. They moved quickly as detectives to find the source of the leak and they were very prodfesasional and polite. And most of all, my wife and I were relieved that the loeak was stopped. Thank you.
