New Reasonable price | $1–200 Called Jack Berleth & Sons on a Friday at 3pm for a pinhole leak in my copper pipe for my water heater. Customer service set me up with 2 technicians who arrived promptly at 4pm. Pipe was fixed and paid for by 4:30p. No issues at all, quick, and very knowledgable technicians. Great price | $200–300 Recently identified our hot water heater's pressure relief valve had leaked some water from our tank. Upon researching it I determined it needed to be replaced, to which I completed that work myself. Water continued to sporadically leak from the valve & at that point was out of my "google knowledge" depth and began to research who to call for assistance. Jack Berleth & Sons is very local & we walk by their office near daily with our dog, so decided to send a message via their website contact us form. I received a prompt response within an hour or so via email with options for appointments, including being added to the queue for that day should the team finish up calls early, which I thought was a very nice option. With my issue not seemingly being an emergency (and with it also being a Friday) I opted for a Monday morning appointment. The tech, Will, arrived promptly at the start of our 2 hour window on Monday. I quickly explained the issues I was having & within mere minutes he had already diagnosed the issue as being a full expansion tank in need of replacement. He went as far as to explain the reasoning and showed me exactly how to check the tank quickly by just knocking on it. He said he could quickly replace it & acknowledged that typically in this situation they would also replace the pressure relief valve, but after examining it & confirming I had just replaced it, he recommended just the expansion tank swap. Will quickly handled the swap & the entire process from him pulling into my driveway to shaking hands upon departure took less than 30 minutes. He was extremely knowledgeable & took the time to explain what he was doing, why he was doing it, and how I could monitor this issue in the future, should my tank need replacing again, with explaining they typically lasted 5-6 years on average. After departing I was expecting a large invoice in the mail, just as expectations on having a qualified, trained company take care of an issue come with a usual high fee, I was extremely pleased that this whole process ran me ~$250, which I was more than happy to pay. This was truly a 5 star experience & really gave me faith that there are still good companies out there that don't try to take advantage of people or nickel & dime you. Will could have easily said he also needed to replace the valve on my water heater or perform other diagnostics to drive the service visit up, but he didn't and I truly appreciate the care he provided. Would give 6 stars if I could. They arrived at my house in under 10 minutes to respond to an emergency leak. They were able to resolve the issue quickly and effectively mitigated what could have been a disastrous situation. Always friendly and they take the time to explain the services they are providing. There's nobody better.

They have earned every 5 star review they get. To start with, they are fast, efficient and reasonably priced. The plumbers are all incredibly knowledgeable and expert in their field. My parents used them for years and every time the plumbers fixed the problem with minimum fuss. Their customer service is standout. I know this review sounds boilerplate but it really isn't . It's just that everything they promise they deliver on, and how rare is that in this day and age? A huge thanks to everyone at Berleth!

Found Jack Berleth on the Navien website. They are hands-down the best plumbing company I have ever used. Had a Co2 leak that no other plumber identified. They found it immediately then rearranged their schedule to replace my boiler system so I wouldn’t be without heat/hot water. The owner (Steve) even brought me space heaters on a Saturday to use while I was without heat.. They had to come back because my old piping was not compatible with the new system so they spent another half day at no charge making things right. I will never use another company for my plumbing needs. Best experience ever! Thanks Steve, Kieran, and Judy!!!

We recently had Jack Berleth and Sons remove our 65yr old heating and hot water boiler system and replace it with a new Peerless boiler and Becket burner. Additionally, a 50 gallon indirect water heater was installed to ensure that we will always have hot water. It was a big, dirty job to remove the old commercial grade combination boiler/heater that weighed more 3,000#, but Steve, Paul and their assistants were able to get this done and left the house cleaner than when they arrived. All floors and stairs were covered with drop cloths and everyone wore shoe covers, as well as face masks. Installation of the new system happened during a power outage, but Jack Berleth and Sons had their own portable generator to guarantee that the job was done on time. Our entire 4-zone heating system was connected to the new boiler with all new copper lines, valves and circulating pumps. For such a large, important home improvement we are very glad that we chose Jack Berleth & Sons. Their price was competitive with others, the job was completed on time, the basement/house was left cleaner than before, and the improved efficiency of the new system is outstanding. We highly recommend them to anyone requiring a home heating system replacement/upgrade. These guys are not only great plumbers- they are great people and we have trusted them for multiple projects. Their work is impeccable and every single person we encounter - each and every time- has been courteous, professional and overall a pleasure to deal with. It is often hard to gauge how 'trustworthy' someone is- we often assume people can be trusted but never have real experiences to back up our assumptions. When Jack Berleth & Sons worked on our first project (master bath plumbing) - my husband and I could not be home on one particular day. We got a good vibe from the guys initially and felt it would be ok for them to work while we were not home for a few hours. We also have a dog at home and have a Nest camera set up to check on him throughout the day. The camera is set to not record UNLESS our Nest smoke alarms go off- unique feature so you can watch your house burn down??-- Anyway. The day they were working the smoke alarm went off - presumably from the soldering, etc. I receive a notification on my phone that this is the case and check the Nest camera. My dog is freaking out and barking- he's locked in the kitchen and so upset. All of a sudden I see one of the guys race down the stairs and start comforting my dog. I heard him say 'its ok buddy, its ok', and watched for a few seconds. I was so touched and felt so grateful- not only did he check on him, but taking a moment to talk to him, pet him and give him comfort brought tears to my eyes. I know this has nothing to do with plumbing...and may sound a little dramatic-- but these are the type of people who we want in our home, around our family and pets! To our family, this is priceless and it is the reason we will only use Jack Berleth & Sons for all of our projects. We just finished up a whole house renovation and again their work is second to none. The best in the business! My husband and I have used Jack Berleth & Sons for all our plumbing needs since the first day we purchased our new home. Steven Kennaugh has gone above and beyond the call of duty to assist us - we had some issues (heat, water, etc.) last year and he made sure he was there every single step of the way to ensure we were up and running. Whether he was referring us to others who can help, or doing the job himself, his expertise and advice have proven extremely beneficial to us, he is also extremely kind and the type of person you want to give your work too. His estimates/timing of work are fair and reasonable. The entire crew at Jack Berleth are professional, efficient - they have perfected their skill and this is why they have been in business for so long. We just had our pipes moved in from the outside (to avoid freezing in the winter) and the work is simply perfect. They were able to save us storage space under our sink and insulate the panels so there will be no risk of frozen pipes. Entire job completed under 4 hours - AMAZING! They are friendly, well-mannered and respectful of your property. There is no other plumbing business that can compare - they are simply the absolute best on Long Island. We cannot say enough great things.
